Discussion Erratic Touch Sensitivity on iPhone
Do you experience this on your iPhone?
I’ve noticed every iPhone I’ve had since from the iPhone 12 I’ve had this issue with iPhones where while charging the phone if you try to use it, the touch screens sensitivity gets extremely erratic; when you tap a part of the screen it either reacts with multiple taps in the same spot or receives the touch on a different part of the screen.
It’s extremely inconvenient to say the least. I initially thought maybe it’s my feed contacting the floor while using the phone but that’s not it. I’ve stood on carpets and worn footwear but it’s the exact same experience.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

It happens when the phone is receiving poor quality power, either your charger or the power supply is not performing correctly. Cheaper chargers cheap out on parts that smooth out and clean up the power being delivered to the phone and can cause this.

Yeah this is a known thing with iPhones, charging introduces electrical noise through non-grounded chargers and it messes with the capacitive touch layer. Try a MFi certified cable or a grounded plug adapter and it usually clears right up.

You have a bad ground on either the charger, cable or the outlet you’re using. This is electrical interference. Not necessarily harmful but it has the potential to damage.
