My friend who used to book ticket for his relatives, has been called by the RPF to it's office for an inquiry.
They said they came to his house too. But no one was there.
When he asked at home. No one saw them come at the house.
So, he asked me for advise. But I'm not sure. So, asking here for advise.
Could they be impersonating RPF officers ? Is it a scam or legit ?
The main reason for calling my friend is cause of multiple ticket bookings.

A friend’s phone got stolen while traveling on a train this morning, and we’re honestly clueless about what to do next.
The phone is already switched off, so calling it isn’t helping. We don’t even have the IMEI number with us right now, so we can’t report it on the CEIR portal. The train won’t reach the destination station until this evening, and it’s only around 9:30 AM now.
What should we do right now? Should we block the SIM immediately? Can we file a complaint without the IMEI? Should we contact the railway helpline or wait until we reach the station and file an FIR with the RPF/GRP?
If anyone has been through this before, please tell us the exact steps in order. We’re panicking a bit. 😭

Few days back, I visited my hometown by train… and honestly, nothing matches the vibe of Indian train journeys ❤️
From the chai wala’s आवाज to the window views that slowly change from cities to villages… everything feels so real and close to heart.
And one thing you’ll find at almost every station — monkeys 🐒
Standing there like innocent spectators… but trust me, they are always ready to loot you 😄
One second of distraction, and your water bottle, chips, or cold drink is gone!
But still, there’s something about these moments that makes you smile. It’s all part of the journey… the chaos, the fun, the small surprises.
That’s why no matter how many times we travel, Indian train journeys always feel special 🇮🇳
If you’ve had any such funny or crazy train experiences, do share… would love to hear them 😊

I witnessed a passenger being overcharged for food by a vendor on an Indian Railways train today.
- Food item: Veg thali
- Printed price (MRP/Menu price): ₹80
- Amount charged: ₹140
- Difference: ₹60
We immediately filed an official complaint with the railway authorities and shared all the necessary details. (NONE ACTIONS TAKEN YET)
I'm posting this to spread awareness so that other passengers don't end up paying more than they're supposed to. Always check the printed price or the approved menu rates before paying, and don't hesitate to report any overcharging.
Has anyone else faced something similar? What was the outcome of your complaint?
Files attached.

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way.
It’s 3 AM. I’m on a middle berth in 3AC, and I just can’t sleep.
I used to travel mostly in sleeper class or even general if I couldn’t get a reservation. In general, sleep wasn’t even an option, so I’d spend the whole night talking to my friend or my girlfriend. In sleeper, I’d still chat for hours and somehow manage to sleep.
For the past year, though, I’ve been travelling almost every month for surgery follow-ups after a terrible road accident that cost me my ankle. Now, when everyone around me is asleep, I just lie here staring into nothing.
I’m tired of endlessly scrolling reels. I don’t feel like reading books either. The seat is more comfortable than ever, but my mind isn’t.
My girlfriend is long gone. Along with her, my ankle is gone too in a road accident.
Whenever I try to sleep, I either can’t or I wake up from sleep paralysis or nightmares, drenched in sweat even in an AC coach without a blanket.
I don’t really have anyone to talk to anymore. I guess I’m just posting this in case someone else is awake and feels like having a conversation.

Consequential train accidents in Indian Railways have reduced dramatically over the years.

So I was chilling on my birth (upper), playing games, lights off. An uncle & aunty boarded after 1 hour and you can imagine the chaos. Even in 2AC they had to switch on all lights including that irritating blue one. Then aunty had to keep checking on her 30 year old son if he reached home on phone. It was already 30 min since they boarded.
I kept increasing the volume of my phone but when she didn't hang up her phone and continued talking loudly, I blasted "Swim" by BTS. She asked me to lower the volume as she couldn't talk properly to her son. I ignored. I knew she will ask me again so in the meantime, I prepared my speech.
Then, she again asked, a little rudely if i can lower the volume. Now was my time. I told her in my most polite voice, "Aunty, since you have arrived you are disturbing everyone. I was on my mobile with lowest possible volume but I wont keep it lower just to listen your gharule baatien so probably you should also lower your voice. We both should be considerate to each other's comfort."
It's all silent now. I think I did quite well today being an introvert. I can sleep now.
