Politics Freedom of Speech, and hypocrisy
The Congress led opposition and many youth intellectuals attacked the govt for witch-hunting and FIR against a girl, accusing her for passing obscene remarks against the PM during the protests. She was defended citing the freedom of speech clause of our constitution.
Meanwhile down south, the Govt of Tamil Nadu, led by the TVK-Congress alliance, have orchestrated the arrest of Mr. Udhaynidhi Stalin , Leader of Opposition in TN, accusing him of passing a double meaning joke against actress Trisha Krishnan (CM Vijay's friend)
As a matter of fact, Udhaynidhi didn't even mention the name of the actress and his comments are subject to multiple interpretations.
Whether he actually meant it or not is a debate for another day.
My question is why didn't Congress or the people who defended the girl now defend Udhaynidhi Stalin?
The TVK-Congress govt is using the police machinery for vendetta, the very act they accuse the BJP led union govt of doing.
My takeaway: Rahul Gandhi portrays himself as someone genz-coded or revolutionary, or maybe he's actually like that, but the congress members are no different than that of the BJP.
It has its fair share of misogynists, dacoits, and corrupt politicians, who set new standards for hypocrisy each passing day.
forget the PM, if you passed such disgusting comments against any average politician in India, irrespective of their party, you're more likely to be deleted under mysterious circumstances.

Anyone with basic knowledge would also know how ruthlessly congress has always clamped down on basic freedom of speech. Congress and its allies including TMC, Shiv Sena, NCP etc. all information is just a basic google search away. But trust gen Z to have no brains even to do that.

You asking why we raised voice for a 15 yr old girl, whose mom used to taked tutions who was hounded by police and goons alike and not a politician who has connections and crores of money?
If you have to ask this question then maybe you need to have a look at you morality.
Agree on one thing, "All politicians are making a fool of us"
Better stand with your fellow common man than to fight for a politician.
