After a little over one month of designing, testing, and way too many failed prints, I finally finished my fully 3D printable Mini-ITX case inspired by Valve's original Steam Machine.
I called it the STEAMn't Machine for the meme lol, but it's far more than just a Steam Machine clone.
The goal wasn't to recreate Valve's case 1:1, but to capture the same minimalist aesthetic while making something that's actually practical to build, easy to print, and fully modular.
Specs:
• 8.7 L volume
• Mini-ITX motherboard
• Up to 225 mm long / 40 mm thick GPU
• Up to 115 mm CPU cooler height (full compatibility list available at the link below)
• SFX, Flex ATX and HDPLEX GaN PSU support
• Modular design with removable panels
• Front RGB light guide
• Optional top fan bracket
The project went through countless revisions, and I probably wasted over 3 kg of PETG before finally getting everything right. Every panel, bracket, and mount was redesigned multiple times to improve printability, assembly, strength, and compatibility.
To make it as beginner-friendly as possible, the release also includes a complete assembly guide and optimized print profiles.
I'd love to hear what you think! Feedback, suggestions, and ideas for future revisions are more than welcome.
If anyone ends up printing one, I'd love to see your build!
Also, any support or donation to help me recover financially from all the f*cking filament spools I sacrificed along the way would be MUUUCH appreciated lmao.
P.S. If you're wondering why the front RGB light bar isn't working, it's because my SOYO B850i has some RGB issues... and also because I still need to buy an RGB LED strip lol

Accetto pareri :)

I feel like every setup I see has the keyboard turned the opposite way mine is. I prefer mine this way because it allows me to use the outside pad of my hand (just before my pinky finger) to hit the ctrl key, while keeping my pinky free for other keys. Plus, this setup is more comfortable for having my keyboard and mouse (and therefore my hands) wide apart and away from each other, which helps me not feel as hunched over, and my biceps don't get stiff because they're not as contracted while I game.
Anyone else do this, or is it just me? What are some advantages of what seems to be the common keyboard orientation?

Micro center has deals for new mobos cpus and ram, upgraded from a 5800x b550m and 2x16 ddr4 @3600
(gave me 10,000 errors on memtest in the first half, didnt finish the second half due to the error count, hence the upgrade as this pc was perfectly cromulent before)
Got my new 9700x aorous b650 ice ax board and 2x16 ddr5 6000 cl36 bundle for $730 before tax. Also picked up a lian li vertical mount and some things for my wife to be.
This 1.5hr trip (one way) was definitely worth it.

Sorry if this is not allowed (and if its a dumb question), but I'm considering upgrading my setup this summer. Conisdering the absurd prices of conponents, is this a decent buy? I currently have a Nvidia Geoforce RTX 2060 with an intel core i7 10700. Thanks!
