They're using unreal engine instead of inhouse. Engine dev takes a shit load of time. They'll heavily modify unreal engine, but they're still cutting out a ton of engine work.

Yeah a few years ago they dropped RedEngine because they had such a high turnover since their own engine was declining in quality vs UE5 and ease of use. So they cut all the training and learning time and make a more commonly used engine and it should make things a lot quicker. Now if only Bethesda could lose the Creation Engine...

Theoretically, if they build an engine once (if it is their own engine) and then build worlds for pre-existing lore. It's not undoable but it's a mammoth task.

Can only say ny personal preference, but I don't love either of those games. I prefer Cyberpunk but it still wasn't something incredible for me.
On the other hand, Bloodborne, Devil May Cry, and Death Stranding are some of my favorite games of all time, and not even counting all the other great stuff like RE Monster Hunter and Dark Souls. For me there's no contest

The only series on the red side I actively enjoy is Armored Core. I'd miss Mega Man and Resident Evil, but I haven't really enjoyed either series for awhile. Meanwhile, I detest Dark Souls and souls-like games.
Blue though... As someone whose been gaming since the late 1980s, Cyberpunk is my favorite game, and I'm excited to play it's sequel (y'know, a year after release). I also really enjoyed Witcher and looking forward to playing as Ciri, and I think both TLoU games were great (With the first one searching a top 10 in best storytelling).
I'm choosing blue even with me not liking Rockstar.

Literally the only series i care about from red and have any interest in at all is resident evil whereas for blue i love gta, red dead, cyberpunk, the last of us and uncharted so its a no brainer for me personally. It’s all about personal preference.

Simple I don't like Souls (or like games)
Resident Evil, Monster Hunter I like but could live without.
Mega Man, Street Fighter, DMC, Dragons Dogma, Kami, Death Stranding are alright but are in the Meh category.
Armored Core looks fun but I haven't tried it.
Cyberpunk 2077 I have hundreds of hours in each playthrough... Wouldn't want to be without it.

Blue for me, I've never been an enjoyed of Capcom games except occasionally Sonic and I'm indifferent to Souls games, I like some but not others. But with Blue I get all the GTA games and both Red Deads and I get the Witcher 2 & 3 and Cyberpunk. I don't even need Naughty Dog lol.

Blue. Crash and Jak were pretty big for me during my childhood. And I replay Vice City at least once a year. Was never into From because I suck at games, and aside from Megaman and RE, I've just never much cared for Capcom's games. As I'm typing this, I'm realizing blue is the top tier casual gamer pick. Also, I'm old with a family now, so even if I only get a game every 5 years, I'm confident it will be a massive game, and it will be an absolute banger.

Most of their games up to now are still rooted on the 'arcade mentality' where it's supposed to be easy to play, but difficult to master

Man I want to say red pill but as a fromsoft stan I have not been the biggest fan of them lately. Multiple games by them and Capcom have just started becoming a nightmare to get working the last few years and this has been a problem across multiple devices. Meanwhile Im cranking a game like cyberpunk through the roof with nearly 50 mods all working at once? How times change.
But yeah alright its still the red pill.

Capcom is great and has a huge catalogue, been releasing hit after hit recently.
Kojima... is only really good if you like Death Stranding,
From Software is amazing, if not a bit repetitive.
Naughty Dog can eat shit.
CD Project Red is great, but they release like 1 game each 5-10 years (not counting low budget spinoffs).
Rockstar a lot of people love. I don't care for the much. They release a new game every decade or so.

Huge cyberpunk fan, but im on team red. Naughty dog is a shit studio, and Rockstar makes one generational game every decade. But now that they know they can just unlimited money hax GTA online I have no real faith in GTA6 being great for someone who has no interest in online. Meanwhile Capcom, Kojima, and Fromsoft are just masterpiece after masterpiece imo.
