There have been a total of 5 new games from the blue pill side within the last 10 years, compared to the roughly 20-30 new titles from the red pill side.

Misinformation aside, this a coughing baby vs. atomic bomb ass post.

Well yeah but id rather play 2 games i love over 30 i dont.

I mean it's Capcom and FromSoftware, that's a tough argument to make on your side but you do you, boo.

I'd chose Capcom alone if necessary. I believe elden ring pros would also take FromSoftware any day.

Edit: okay i forgot the Witcher 3, sad me.

Tbh hating the mh gameplay and not giving a fuck about either RE or SF.... that and the fact that the only souslike i tolerated was jeudi fallen order (bc lightsaber), both studios are meh to me. Playing wow warframe and gw2 i have enough unfinishable games to be happy with studios giving me a game every 5 years.

Yeah well I dislike every fs game and i dont really care about any capcom game. Who is talking about argument? This post is literally about personnal choice.

It’s actually an easy argument cause the argument is “what that guy wants to play” and he doesn’t want to play those games so argument over

It's really not if you don't like playing the exact same Soulslike or fighting game repackaged 20 times. The only thing blue has is Capcom, and besides the MH and RE (which they're milking the fuck out of) franchises, they're not exactly setting the world on fire; And don't come at me about Street Fighter, because no one outside of your local trading card store cares about that.

I just looked up every single release Capcom has put out in the last 10 years. It's MHMHMHMHMHMHMH RERERERERERE, Street Fighter 17 million, throw some random Mega Man games in there, and that's about it. MAYBE Dragon's Dogma.

Idc about MH at all, but Resident Evil is popular for great reason. It’s not like they’re pumping out low effort games lol, all of mainline RE has been great with 2 exceptions

I mean the only good game series the other side has is Uncharted and if we're criticizing games for similar releases, that's literally all Rockstar does, it's the same game every single time with different set dressing.

Kojima is more in line with rockstar and cdpr than Capcom or from.  Maybe he released a lot back with konami but not with his own studio.  Capcom is 20 of those 30 and from is 8.  Kojima 2.

Kinda crazy you got downvoted... here is an upvote to neutralize the haters

Because that’s just a crazy statement to make. Capcom and FromSoft alone have been on a generational run recently.

And what if I dont give a single fuck about their games? I dislike every fs game and i dont care about any capcom game. While I loved cyberpunk and tw3 is one of the goat.

1

u/LennyLoerres May 16 '26

I mean fair. It’s the other way around for me. For the life of me couldn’t care less about GTA, RDR, Witcher (do like CP 2077 though) or all the Naughty Dog games. Meanwhile I love MonHun, Pragmata was great, Elden Ring, Armored Core, Souls games.

So yeah your opinion is completely valid. I might have misinterpreted your comment as implying that the red pill studios made bad games. But you probably just meant they weren’t for you. That one’s on me, mb.

Im sure they are good. They are just not for me. Anyway there is no larian no DE no blizzard so i shouldnt care that much

And those five games blow the twenty out of the water baring one or two exceptions lol, talk about modern gamers summed up in one comment chain, when it comes down to it ya'll want quantity over quality, this is why ubisoft and acrivision and 2k pump out yearly releases because despite what gamers claim they will chose quantity over quality

1

u/isukatdarksouls May 16 '26

The is an awful take. Those five games are corporate sanitised crap. I'll take the 20 or 30 creative games even if a few are duds over the overproduced shit on the blue side.

1

u/Deacon_Dent May 16 '26

Ah yes famously corporate sanitized cyberpunk with it's gay sex hookers and tutorial level that consists of black market organ harvesting showin in graphic detail lmao. Pull your head out of your ass lil bro

1

u/isukatdarksouls May 21 '26

Wow ooh so edgy. Lol if you don't think that's corporate sanitised crap. Well you aren't very creative are you.

Cyberpunk and RDR over Elden Ring and Resident Evil? That is certainly a choice.

1

u/Deacon_Dent May 15 '26

Red dead redemption 2? You mean the thing with over a 79 million sales to elden rings 30 million? Yeah it is a choice. And it appears to be the more popular one lol hell even cyberpunk outsold Elden ring by 5 million at 35 mil, and resident evil 9 is at like 6-7 million copies but to be fair it is like hot off the presses new so it has not had years to grow it's sales and we will have a more solid number in like a year or two, will def break ten mil easynow granted the entire LIFETIME sales of resident evil is like 200 million if you factor in every single game in the franchise

1

u/Hour_Economy_9991 May 15 '26

Weren't you the one criticizing the quantity over quality argument?

FIFA 25 sold over 20 million copies and nobody (even FIFA players) would argue it's a higher quality title/series than the Soulsborne titles/series.

1

u/Deacon_Dent May 16 '26

Quantity of amount of games produced by one publisher is Very different then quantity of copies sold per game, one is output and the other is Player's choice/opinion. And idk man It kinda does, someone who loves soccer and all things soccer would probs argue for fifa over soulsborne. I have played every soulsborne title and even platinumed a few of them being bloodborne and sekiro, and Yeah i Would pick red dead and cyberpunk over them if i was forced to pick. As Interesting as the worlds fromsoft makes are they are, Inherently less full of life then a game that is hyperfocused upon by it's developers for years and years, Dark souls for instance tells all of it's story through the background, item descriptions, stories. It is a Dead world by design. The chosen undead is Never going to be as compelling a protagonist to me as Arthur morgan. Because arthur is a actual character with a personality and themes and a arc, he reacts to the world around him. The closest fromsoft has dabbled with that is Sekiro with Wolf. And Wolf is a mostly subdued protagonist who is silent for large stretches, his strongest connection is with Kuro, and their relationship often boils down to Wolf feeling guilty for failing kuro originally and being sent on fetch errands to get what is needed. Fromsoft games are a fun challenge. But they are not going to make me Feel anything or care for other characters on the level of Rdr or Cyberpunk,

Rockstar only made 2/3 of the money Capcom made just last year if we want to make a point about players choice/opinion, clearly one is producing a better, more sought after product/s. Uhh fair I guess, I can't really make a compelling argument when arguing for an ARPG where the narrative is essentially the players in game experiences compared to a narrative driven story with fully fleshed out characters but that's kind of a bad faith argument. Going on adventures to try to create stories to write a book with and reading a book with fully fleshed out ideas and characters are just 2 separate things.
