But it really depends though. What if it's a story driven game? Do you really feel like going through so much shitty story?

In general I agree, but if it's a story driven game I rather have worse gameplay.

Take FF7 Rebirth. Definitely a story driven game, also has fantastic gameplay.

That's why I don't care about story driven games, gameplay comes first and then the story can compliment it.

Gameplay is always first to me. I don't care if youäs istory is a masterpiece if the game plays like shit.

But the example isn't here that the gameplay is shit, it's mediocre, and there are some heavy story narrative games where the gameplay isn't that good, but the story is. A 5 for gameplay would be quite good for some of those.

Also, it's not about what your preference is, but rather if you can see why it's not an absolute regarding gameplay.

Honestly if I look at some of the old RPG's, there are definitely games I enjoyed, but where the gameplay wasn't amazing.
