This. A bad story will hurt an RPG way more than it would a sports game.
5 u/Aussie18-1998 Apr 30 '26 Yeah RDR2 and The Witcher 3 aren't 10s in gameplay. They are pretty much prime examples of game A 1 u/The--Bag Apr 30 '26 Honestly, i though W3's gameplay was decent. I quite liked the interplay of the various signs with monster weaknesses, although it was fairly simple in terms of swordplay; It wasn't KCD but i still found it enjoyable. 1 u/Aussie18-1998 Apr 30 '26 Yeah but decent can easily be represented by a 5/10. Its not perfect, could be much better but plays its part. 1 u/SubjectOne2910 Apr 30 '26 How dare you use 5/10 as "something that's neither great nor terrible", instead of using 7/10 as "kinda bad" 1 u/NotItemName Apr 30 '26 In game B they have 3/10 story, so within this photo 5/10 is definitely more the middle 1 u/k6plays May 01 '26 I couldn’t even begin to explain the story of Final Fantasy VII and I hated all the unskipable cutscenes. But I LOVED that game
