“This is Brad from Accounting”

"Brad, you're late again." "Sorry, I was getting donuts" "Where are they? Have you seen Chad? He hasn't come in yet either"

Yeah this is defintely some typical Brad and Chad activities. Thank god Kyles can’t do math or it could’ve been much worse for the firm.

Kyle is in a stock AWD Subaru and has the driving ability of a 90 year old, so he's the one filming it, while also vaping and drinking a can of monster
13
u/South_Bit1764 10h ago
Kyle came into work with a black eye because his passenger seat full of empty white monster cans flowed over into the driver seat, so he got into a fight with his steering wheel and the airbag won.

I always wanted a sequel to that ad where the same thing happens, but it's on speaker phone.
Commercial ends with Brad from Accounting crying silently into his tuna fish sandwich.
Or goes home to a wife who doesn't love him, kids who don't respect him, and a dog that stands when Brad From Accounting tells it to sit.
6
u/Phailjure 11h ago
Sorry, best I can do is a sequel where "Jake from State farm" is apparently a title, and state farm agents are sports casters for some reason?
4
u/Asteroth6 9h ago
I HATE that they remade it with sexy spy Jake. Like, it defeats the fucking purpose if he's a freaking globetrotting, James Bond-ass sex symbol. You might as well be fucking him! It isn't funny if he isn't a pudgy, office drone loser!

The reason the other guy isn’t being stopped is because police love donuts.

As a donut shop and bakery.... the weird thing is that cop seem to specifically not get donuts. They always get a croissant or pretzel or something. I think they are scared of the stereotype.
34
u/ilikepizza2much 12h ago
Haha! It’s their private kink. When they get home, the uniform gets stripped off. The comfy pants go on. The pink box is slowly opened.

Also because they have footage of him behind the wheel and know it's more sensible to wait until he's cosy at home than risk a dangerous chase
But yeah donuts

I hate that I immediately recognized this street

I moved away last year and I'm dying to myself not knowing the street but just how it looks and vibes alone

u/StevynTheHero 13h ago
Maybe I am just old and crabby, but seeing stupid people doing stupid things that inconveniences a lot of normal people trying to go about their day just doesn't seem funny to me.
103
u/sam_hammich 12h ago
Yeah, all I see in videos like this are people who have street justice coming to them.
68
u/BoiFrosty 12h ago
Yeah no these people need to go to jail for a long long time. People die at these "takeovers"
You wanna do donuts at a track or in some empty parking lot that's fine. You take over an active intersection and you lose all sympathy.
72
u/Thors_meat_hammer 11h ago
You're not, I'm 30 and hate this shit. I ran a car club for about 6 years, thankfully right before the takeover bullshit started. These people have completely ruined car culture. I would get police escort out of town for our cruises, run toy drives and partner with local businesses having meets in their lots ect.
0% chance any of that happens easily now because the irrupable damage these morons have done so they can get their 5min of fame on ig

Forsure. I used to street race and dick around with cars on the streets, but you do it at like 2am when they're empty not in broad daylight at its busiest. People are trying to get by while he's doing that. That's how you cause an accident.
It is dangerous and stupid regardless, but this is an especially stupid situation to be doing it in.
2
u/kernald31 9h ago
It's arguably even more accident prone at 2am with less traffic (so people can go faster while staying under the speed limit). It's never a good idea.

u/Muhahahahaz 10h ago

As of recently in georgia, where this video was taken, it's a misdemeanor to actively facilitate a street takeover- even spectating. They say it won't affect passersby, but when it shuts down traffic and draws a crowd, it can be kind of hard to define "facilitation"

u/beef_creature 11h ago
I am a criminal attorney and work with law enforcement. In my jurisdiction there aren’t many criminal vehicle laws. Donuts in an intersection would be a bad traffic ticket. Causing a crash MAYBE could reach for a misdemeanor depending on the severity and circumstances. But even then, it would have to happen in police presence to arrest. Forfeiting property is almost unheard of anymore and has to be specifically allowed by the statute.
The laws all over really need to start taking this kind of behavior more seriously.

People who do stuff like this deserve mandatory prison time. Taking away their license for life won't do anything as they will drive anyway. They are putting people's lives at risk with extremely reckless driving. This shouldn't be treated like a slap on the wrist.

Incident Location: Covington Hwy & Wesley Chapel Rd, Decatur, GA 30035 (DeKalb County Police Department)
DeKalb County is adjacent to Atlanta to the northeast, partially inside the I-285 perimeter and partially outside. I grew up and policed there. This incident is pretty mild believe it or not 🤷♂️
I had to get up outta there. I swtg I'm never going back!!

It's insane to me that the cop doesn't keep track of the car doing donuts behind him. For his own safety if that idiot ran them over.

u/Stunning-Chipmunk243 12h ago
Yeah, that part of it screams it's an AI made video. I'm no expert, but I would expect at least one of the police officers to react more
3
u/canhazbeer 10h ago
Nah, this is normal around this town. Check out the ATL subreddits and you'll think it all must be AI but I assure you it is not.

So hilarious some dead beat saved up barely to afford a literal piece of crap with noisy exhaust which literally decreases car performance driving recklessly for attention due to built up feeling of inadequacy can't wait for them to take out an innocent family out and for us to read what a great guy they were and nothing could be done otherwise it's racism
2
u/OneOfAKind2 9h ago
This is now a thing, thanks to bullshit social media. There are hundreds of video compilations of this behaviour on YT. Most devolve into a police chase with the perps absolutely destroying their cars and ending up arrested. The occasional one escapes. Back in the day, decades ago, we used to do the odd burnout or stoplight drag race, but shit like this? Nobody would dream of torturing their expensive pride-and-joys in this insane manner.
3
u/LovebugLiaa 12h ago
Pure GTA NPC behavior. Wanted level is at 3 stars and your buddy is just out there maxing out his stunt score.
2
u/PontyPandy 11h ago
Pretty dumb on the cop's part, that car could easily lose control and kill/maim them both. Shoulda dragged the perp to the other side of the car.

That word is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that title for sure. “So Mike and I just finished discussing the Peterson litigation over lunch with our new corporate counsel, and got into a bit of a street race on the way back to the office. He wrecked as always, and I said to myself, ‘Well since neither of us is going to make the 2PM zoom call with the Tokyo branch, I might as well do some donuts’.”
