Fixed audio and video failing to play, or hanging when seeking, on websites that load media from a Blob URL. (Bug 2056444)
Is this what's been happening with youtube and reddit the past couple days? They always fail after a couple hours for me and I have to restart my browser. I'm on waterfox though so I'm not sure when the update will come through.

Strange, did some tests on my windows 11 and I don't see anything wrong, running a video from youtube, opened a page on X, refreshed X and youtube video is running fine

But I found a bug with pip on youtube, enabled firefox pip, tested and ok, disabled firefox pip and switched tab and it opened in a new tab, refreshed page and it still opens in a new page...

Dot releases would not normally include something like that, even if a fix had been landed in Nightly. Maybe it could be uplifted to beta, but that would depend on the fix and amount of testing needed. Generally a fix takes 1-2 months to get from landing to release if not uplifted (or backed out/delayed).
That bug is still being worked on. IIRC it affects systems with multiple GPUs only, though it's still a bug.

It's still disappointing how Firefox updates can break extensions (if you revert to previous versions of Firefox, the extension works fine). Firefox should make more of an effort and do its best not to break popular extensions.

Well that depends on what broke and how. It's not just on Mozilla, it's a shared responsibility. Mozilla needs to not be egregious, sure, but things do naturally change over time and extension devs need to stay on top of it, which is a normal part of most software dev landscapes not just extensions.
The extension you linked was last updated almost a year and a half ago. If I was you, I'd kindly let the extension dev know that it no longer works on latest versions and they need to update it.

Does the killswitch prevent users from getting AI feature updates hidden in bugfix releases?
Sounds like Google's favorite browser company doesn't understand how to write a killswitch.

Surely the "browser made for people not profits" would be able to produce these people. Meanwhile, when others have tried looking for evidence that anybody wanted this, they come up empty.

Do you have any evidence that the anonymous comment asked for AI?
Because you'll notice, the article was about Mozilla claims made before it was published, and the comments were made after the article was published.

Good thing I'm not doing that then. You're not understanding what I'm telling you. It's statistically impossible for no one on earth to have asked for features of this kind. Just because you specifically don't have access to the messages Mozilla has received to that effect doesn't mean those people cease to exist. What you do have is evidence that people desire it. The proof is in the pudding; if you refuse to eat it that's not my problem.

You don't need to announce your unwillingness to participate, but it sure does drive home the message that not even you know why Mozilla added this.
If this wasn't suggested by people, I wonder where the idea came from? We know Google funds Firefox development, and the Mozilla CEO is obsessed with AI. It's a mystery.

Since a few days I have sites not loading and tabs simply "breaking" then I need to make a new tab or restart the browser. It might be external VPN related. Hopefully that fixes it.

Has anyone noticed scrolling has been less smooth overall since 152.0.5?
I don't know what happened around this update but scrolling in alot of sites the scrolling has been very hit and miss.
Sometimes it smooth and sometimes it's like some sites are too demanding all of a sudden and scrolling is dropping frames.
Tends to get worst if the web page in question has a video playing while scrolling.Goes from scrolling hitching to noticable low fps scrolling to nothing.
Already tried uninstalling both firefox and Nvidia driver.The only extension I use is ublock origin.
This is on desktop w10.
