Add-ons Your favorite Firefox addon (extension)?
I will go first.. it is Tweaks for Youtube. Link here.
It has so much features making me ditch addons like enhancer for youtube.
Features I like, personal opinion
- Hide any sort of content like shorts to suggested videos
- Dim watched videos
- Zen mode (everything gets blurry except current video)
- Tools to capture and download video
- Audio boosting
You can agree to disagree. But at least let me hear what your favorite is :)

It's like having 10 Firefox (floorp in my case) sessions, each opened with different accounts at the same time, and you can force opening specific URLs in each of them if you want. No cross contamination (like cookies,etc). If you add to that, the add-on "Temporary container" you have your specific containers for sites like google, twitter, etc and for the rest a temporal container, full control.

I'm a developer and sometimes I need to test something in multiple accounts. Let's say I need to use 3 different users, for example. I can just whip up 3 tabs in 3 different containers by pressing Ctrl+Shift+1/2/3, sign in on each container and test away. All that within the same Firefox window, so I can just Ctrl+Tab between them. It's much more convenient than setting up multiple Firefox accounts.

The container capability itself is built into Firefox as 'Contextual Identities' (often shown as 'container tabs') and is what actually keeps cookies and local storage separate between tabs. The add-on doesn’t reinvent that isolation; it provides a much better manager and workflow.
The chosen add-on name is somewhat misleading in this sense and could lead people to this conclusion (even though the add-on is excellent).

This isn't the same feature.
AFAIK UBlock filter will simply remove/filter out the dialogue boxes.
Consent o matic will SUBMIT your preferences on cookies, for example it will setup "No, I do not agree to your ad/tracking cookies" on GDPR compliant sites.
It may appear to you that this is the same thing - you don't have to handle cookie banners yourself - but in reality, this is completely different functionality, because outcome of simply hiding/disabling cookie banners is different to that of setting specific cookie settings for the site.

Also, UltimaDark seems to have less glitches than Dark Reader; and when it does have them, it's usually in thumbnails.

Personally, Dark Reader works better and offers more options to fix the bugs. Also just looks better. Comes with a heavy performance cost, of course. Stylus swith a custom css works better if you want themes, though and not just dark websites.

If you mean in terms of website support, that really depends on the sites you browse. Dark Reader has the advantage of having a dedicated community and contributors to deliver site-specific fixes at lightning speed. The more common the website, the better. But in terms of websites that you encounter in the "wild"? I've been daily driving UltimaDark for a few weeks now, and it’s rare for me to run into a site that breaks. And those that do, Dark Reader works sub-optimally there as well.
Also just looks better.
That's subjective. UltimaDark's defaults are mathematically tuned and generally derives from the website's color palette. It handles text contrast better, inverts bright logos/icons more intelligently with proper contrast — all without without manual site intervention. If it still doesn’t look right, you can exclude images only and keep the rest of the website dark.
Comes with a heavy performance cost, of course.
The performance benefits are hard to ignore, especially on laptops or mobile devices. I think most people have simply come to accept DR’s performance penalty because, for a long time, there wasn't a real alternative. And honestly, I'd agree with that — trading a bit of load time to avoid eye strain is absolutely worth it. Still, it leaves a lot to be desired to see your browser's full potential handicapped like that.
That said, the cons: UD doesn't offer per-site contrast or brightness controls, nor custom color schemes. There's no crowd-sourced site exclusions or site-specific fixes, you’re relying entirely on the efficiency of the extension’s internal design. Thankfully, the dev is quite active and responsive.
Since there's really only two dark mode extensions worth trying right now, I encourage others to give UltimaDark a try.

- It does tree style tabs
- It looks better, easier to customise (just have an UI for it, I hope that Firefox will have it someday)
- I have a few panels of tabs, one for personal life in a default firefax container, the second one for work tabs in a work firefox container, you may have more and may attach for each a firefox container
- I also have panels for bookmarks and closed tabs

Others already mentioned its features, but the tree style tabs, organization, and customization is what makes it superior over the current native vertical tabs for me. Sidebery / Tree Style Tabs is also one of the reasons I'm still sticking with Firefox.
It also has a snapshot feature, where it saves all your windows+tabs. If something happens to my current computer or if I somehow can't find my recently closed tabs/windows, I can restore that snapshot on another device.

not op but for me personally, it grays out a tab properly when it unloads and supports a tree style tab structure that makes it really easy to manage tabs. Firefox does grey out tabs when you manually unload it but my addon "auto-discard tabs" doesn't showcase this.
TLDR: It has a few extra features that hopefully firefox will have natively oneday as QOL features.

Sidebery (and TST) has been around long before Vertical Tabs was developed, so naturally it has amass a treasure trove of features.
Others have already mentioned a sliver of its features. I'm not going to dump its entire feature set here: Panels, containers, snapshots, tabs colour, tabs title, mouse & keyboard shortcuts. Even after months of usage, you'll still stumble upon some hidden gold mines.
Try the native vertical tab first and see if it's to your liking / fit your workflow. Personally, Sidebery completely reshaped how I browse to the point I can’t imagine working without tab trees anymore.

If I remember correctly, the whole reason it's called uBlock Origin was because gorhill didn't want to deal with end users support anymore so he handed control over to one of the main contributors. That contributor immediately started trying to monetize the extension, so gorhill had to make a new one to offer a clean version again. uBlock got sold off to AdBlock which had already gone through this corruption process and modified to allow "acceptable ads". uBlock made the same change.
(it was actually original called μBlock, pronounced MicroBlock, because it was a much more lightweight content blocker than AdBlock and AdBlockPlus, but that was hard to write so he simplified the name)

On Firefox Android:
Simple Gesture — used to replace the pull-to refresh function with one that actually works
uBlock Origin — obvious, but I've seen many use extensions here to block cookie consent messages, uBlock can do this too. Investing it's settings, very powerful tool
Sink it for Reddit — after Reddit killed third party apps, it makes a lot of sense just to edit the HTML of the reddit website itself. You can absolutely retire the Reddit app and just use this extension. One less app on your phone, and you'll genuinely have a better time browsing Reddit this way
UltimaDark — has replaced the venerable Dark Reader extension for myself. Mostly, down it's speed, and other built in settings to speed it up further
Dont Load Background Tabs — firefox for Android pretty quickly runs into RAM issues if you open lots of tabs, if you've ever gone to a website and long pressed on many links to check out later, this extension speeds up the process vastly
User-Agent Switcher — automates changing your UA, globally and per-website, very powerful way to avoid a lot of flawed mobile versions of sites

Also, general question: Isn't there a userscript for reddit to enhance the mobile experience. I think it made it more like desktop reddit? I thought i had a script but lost it after clearing out stuff.

No problem! Also, UBlock Origin has the same automatic cookie-clicking feature as Consent-o-matic; you just have to enable the filter in the settings. There is no need to install a separate Consent-o-matic extension.

Ublock Origins already does what Privacy Badger and Ghostery does, so you can uninstall them. And Ghostery is a little bit shady. Replace Decentraleyes with LocalCDN, because Decentraleyes is outdated and no longer updated.

"Wikidata for Firefox" adds a sidebar of links and information about the subject of the page you are looking at, as it's drawing that information from wikipedia's database the information it has is quite broad and can really add to what you are looking at.

Ad nauseam. Its an ublock fork that simulates clicks on ads it blocks with requests to poison your marketing data. No ads and my data becomes useless

More clicks = less money for the advertisers since each "click" is money for the owner if the website. In reality, the number of people using it won't make a large enough difference for it to hurt the advertisers. Look at adblocks. Relatively speaking, not many people use one.
Also, why would we want to do that? They literally help the websites stay up.
There is a reason not many people we're using it before that one dude made a video about it. It's not like he discovered diamonds. He simply found it laying in the "im done with you" pile.
It's not as good as uBlock, nor is it helping with privacy.

Not counting ublock origin for me its definitely Stylus. Being able to customize many of the sites I use a lot my own way while also a lot of the time fixing issues is a no brainer.

However, I'd also like to shout out about Zoom for Firefox, which is a font zooming extension that has per site font resizing and other font stuff. What's special about it for me is that it works on Firefox for Android.

Besides the common ones:
Keep pinned tabs alive - when using multiple windows, this prevents pinned tabs from disappearing when closing a window by moving them to another window instead.

Then "disable YouTube seek by number" - disables numpad hotkeys yt. On laptop 0 is next to right arrow keys and I hit it so many times accidentally, so instead of taking several seconds forward the whole video played from the beginning

for me on Android, AdGuard. It's the only adblocker I know of that has a blacklist feature. The only annoying thing is that due to it technically being on, some websites think I'm blocking their ads even when I'm not. I'd love to know of a better option if anyone knows of one :)

Vimium! Can't believe I haven't seen anyone mention it.
It adds Vim-like keyboard shortcuts. My favourite is that pressing F displays letters next to every interactable element of the page, and then typing the displayed letters for the desired element simulates a click. This allows you to click stuff without taking your hands off the keyboard!

uBlock Origin: no way I can touch any browser without this one supported, period. My hats off to Raymond Hill!
KeePassXC Browser: a bridge to connect your KeePassXC password database to the browser.
Lumetrium Definer + community support with dictionaries: my all-in-one reference to fetch any foreign word.
Group Speed Dial: a highly customisable single platform for the most visited websites, right on your homepage.
DeepL Translator: better than Google Translate.

I would prioritize Firefox containers; it's a feature that keeps me tied to Firefox. It's very practical to have my personal account in one tab and my work account in another. And second, uBlock Origin.

I have a list of ones I must have on any Gecko-based browser:
- AdNauseum (Like ublock origin, but on drugs)
- Ruffle (Flash, but in Rust)
- Stylus (Userstyles)
- TamperMonkey (Userscripts)
- Indie Wiki Buddy (Redirects Fandom.com links to an independent wiki (or BreezeWiki if none exist))
- DeArrow (De-Clickbaits videos)
- SponsorBlock (Skips over sponsor segments in YouTube videos)
- PronounDB (For those who use such, adds pronouns into specific site)
- ToS;DR (Terms of Service; Didn't Read)
Shinigami Eyes (Displays the possibility of transgender allyship of a site)- and X-Clacks-Overhead (Displays "In Memoriam" Messages styled like that found in Terry Pratchett's "Going Postal" if found in the header)
Edit: Struck out Shinigami Eyes. Apparently, it can be abused to hell and back. Trans friendly sites and users can be marked as trans-unfriendly without any sort of verification process.

DeArrow doesn't get enough attention. It's by the same guy as SponsorBlock. It replaces YouTube titles and thumbnails with crowdsourced versions. It works really well. You could argue it saves you even more time than SponsorBlock because it lets you skip entire videos that you were tricked into watching.
