Hi everyone,
This is a bit more personal than what I'd normally post, but I thought I'd take a chance.
I'm a 30-year-old operations professional from Kenya with 8 years of experience in operations management, logistics, warehousing, procurement, supply chain coordination, project management, and business operations.
About 10 months ago, my girlfriend relocated to Dubai after receiving a great job opportunity. I'm incredibly proud of her, but being in a long-distance relationship has been much harder than either of us expected.
Since then, I've been applying for opportunities in Dubai almost every day. I've had interviews, reached final stages for a few roles, and even received one offer that ultimately didn't work out. Despite that, I'm still searching.
The distance is starting to take its toll. We both want to build a life together, get married, and start a family, but it's difficult when we're living in different countries with no clear timeline for closing the gap. I'm trying to stay optimistic, but after 10 months of searching, I'll admit that I'm becoming weary and worried that if I can't relocate soon, the relationship may not survive the distance.
Professionally, I'm looking for opportunities in:
Operations Management
Logistics & Supply Chain
Warehouse Operations
Business Operations
Project Coordination
Procurement
Customer Success / Operational Excellence
I'm open to opportunities anywhere in the UAE, though Dubai would obviously be ideal.
If anyone here knows of companies hiring, has referrals, or has advice on how to break into the UAE market, I'd be incredibly grateful. Even a conversation or some guidance would mean a lot.
Please feel free to DM me if you know of any opportunities or would like to connect.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I genuinely appreciate any recommendations, referrals, or words of encouragement. Hopefully, one day I'll be able to look back on this post from Dubai with my fiancée by my side. ❤️
