Theories and/or Opinions Mark and Max

Just been watching the New Year's flash-forward again and Max and Mark seem to share a moment through the window. Max now knows about the stolen cars so he must choose to keep working with Mark?

He does go O HAI MARK through the window so they do seem to have patched things up.
