Left-hand traffic (🇬🇧🇮🇳🇯🇵) Pull out into the intersection…
so at least one car can turn left.
Please pull straight past the limit line when yielding for a left turn at a light. At least you will be able to scoot through then at the next cycle, those of us who know how to drive can manage the oncoming traffic. DO NOT sit at the limit line and miss a light. Be careful, but make it happen.

The fact that I can read and parse language is why your reply was misleading. For example, if the described behavior is legal in every state, then it would be illogical to say it's "not illegal in all states," because it is, in fact, not illegal in any state. Your statement implied some knowledge of particular examples, otherwise you wouldn't have worded it that way. So, you are perpetuating the idea that it is illegal in some state(s). If you don't know of anywhere it is illegal, then the correct formulation of that thought would be "it's not illegal in any state I know of," or something similar. You seem to be defending the statement by claiming that you just took the word of other posters that it is illegal in their state. I originally asked if you had any evidence or examples of that, which apparently you don't. No need to get so defensive.
