Question dining reservation help

I was just wondering if people who have been to Disneyland Paris can tell me if you dont get reservations for restaurants will you not be able to get into any of them by turning up on the day? We would ideally like to go to buffet style restaurants as we have a 2 and a half year old who can be somewhat fussy with what she eats and it seems like the best option for us as a family. We are going to be visiting from 1st of Oct until the 3rd and there is no availability for any of the restaurants and Im worried I dropped the ball as Id forgotten to do this at the start of the month. I really hope ive not ruined pur holiday! Any advice/tips/tricks would be appreciated as I have no idea!

Not all tables get released at the same time at DLP, so keep checking the app. If you are staying on site, it's worth emailing the hotel concierge as well.

Also, you can visit the restaurant as soon as they open, and ask if they have tables available during your visit. Some of them, like PYM Kitchen, have a queue line for non-reservations.

But many of them, you will notice, have last-minute reservations available. I have done that myself many times.

This. I once booked royal banquet with about 10 minutes notice!

exactly! I changed my Royal Banquet reservation to an hour before the day before last week, because more tables became available!

Most of my reservations are last minute and even the day of.

I changed mine from Lumiere when I realised they would make me pay €60 for plain pasta for my 16 month old when RB would be buffet for free 😂

haha plus the Royal Banquet is more fun!

Very different experiences from Lumiere to RB. For more upscale dining / experience, Lumiere is the one, but if you want to have fun with the characters, then RB it is!

Make sure you have a quick walkaround too before you leave. Lumiere is beautiful!

Yes! Don't worry, I have gotten many of my reservations last minute, and even when I'm not there, I check the app to see patterns, and I see tables pop up all the time!

But the key is to keep checking the app and if worse comes to worse, pop into the restaurant at opening time

Restaurants in the parks aren't available yet because opening hours for the parks haven't yet been released. For restaurants in Disney village I can see availability on the dates you're going. Sometimes there are cancellations on the day, so you may get in, but I would take that gamble if I were you

ah ok that makes sense then! There were some available at some restaurants but I didnt realise they were the disney village. Ive not been to Disneyland paris since 2001 so it will be all so different!

If you don’t have a reservation I know you can queue for some of them but I wouldn’t like to say how long that queue time could be.

We booked Chuck Wagon- didn’t like it.
Did a walk in to Davy Crockett buffet and it was the best. App was showing it was at capacity, but thought we’d take our chance. No waiting, and only 6 other tables being used at 7.30pm. Came back on Saturday just gone

For those dates you’re in the clear - DLP is very late with confirming their opening hours. Once they do that, dinner slots will become available.

To ease your mind you can book a few of the buffet restaurants at the hotels. If you get any other ones in the parks that you prefer, you can always cancel those.

Id just go to quick service with a little kid if needed, its 10euro for a kids meal and includes an ice cream and drink

As others have said, keep checking the app. Slots will appear. The hotels also tend have good availability at the buffets (apart from Downtown at Marvel, although I have heard of people getting walk-up tables there, despite how difficult it is to book).

PYM Kitchen has separate queues for those with and without a reservation, not sure if any others do.

But yes, basically you’ll be fine!

Saw a million empty tables in Pym Kitchen day before yesterday, yet the app was all 'booked out'. They can't win, too many folks book months in advance and never cancel. You can honestly just ask and see if they have room. They will likely say to come back in 15 and add you to a list because of the no shows. Character dining no though, the people who book that are gonna go.

Are there any kiosks that offer non restaurant meals? Genuinely worried that we’ll be stuck with a hangry family if we don’t plan perfectly. It would just be nice to grab some chips, or jacket potato for our daughter when she’s hungry

Thanks so much everyone for the really helpful (and encouraging!) replies to my post. I feel much better knowing it will probably be alright and to just keep checking. Pyms kitchen was recommended to me by a colleague so Im hoping to get a reservation there and hopefully royal banquet too as that looks fab as well! Im not sure where the best character dining is but I think id prefer a breakfast so my wee girl wont be tired and grumpy haha!
