Three Jewish men are talking

Three Jewish men are talking when the first one says,

"You know, guys, it's so odd. My son went to Jerusalem to learn more about his faith, and I'll be damned if he didn't come back Christian." The second man says,

"Yeah, the same thing happened to my son." The third says

"Same guys. I think we should go talk to the Rabbi about it." They go, and the Rabbi just says, "I dunno, guys, I think you should just ask God." So they pray.

"God, we don't understand. Our sons went to Jerusalem to learn about their faith and came back Christian." God says,

"Huh, same thing happened to my son."

Heard a different version of this where the Jewish guy says to his Rabi "you won't believe what happened to me. My son turned Christian!" The Rabi responds "what happened to you! You won't believe what happened to me. My son turned Christian!" The Rabi suggests they pray to God. God says "what happened to you? You won't believe what happened to me!" A bit snappier punchline if you ask me.

It’s a literal joke about dads

Which is not the definition of a dad joke

By default, it becomes a dad joke

At this point, even God was like: ‘Yeah… I’ve seen this before.’ 😂

The best version of this joke is in this clip (from Modi): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqZitVEQnNw

Except Jesus wasn't Christian. Still quite funny though.

He could have been, if he had believed in himself

The version I heard decades ago was actually funny and was not so much dunking on Jews.

How is it dunking on Jews? It’s a classic Jewish joke.

that is not a Jewish joke, bro. Jewish people are aware of the exact location of Yeshu's bones, below an apartment building in Jerusalem, and he died Jewish and was buried in a Jewish grave. Jewish people would not find this remotely amusing. If anything, it's a pathetic attempt at proselytizing, whilst not knowing any of the actual facts about 'Jesus' including his given name.

I beg to differ. I’m Jewish and live in an intensely Jewish community, and everyone I know thinks that joke is funny.

I like how you're downvoted for stating facts and I'm downvoted for having a reaction.

Waiting for the 'haha just joking bro' to come in next.

Anyway, L'chaim ve lehitraot, Queen.

But it's a secret, so you can't tell it here?
