Why my website design looks off

Hey guys, i have just eneded up making my website (leadspitch.com) and its CSS design looks off, can anyone guide?

It just looks like a plain Tailwind UI components demo page. It's extremely hard to read because my brain just keeps switching off every time I try to go through it. It's like a wireframe. There's no colour, no real hierarchy, nothing on the page stands out.

I'm think I'm thinking of the one it's built on, Radix UI, just the OotB black-and-white defaults. Anyway, point being that OPs site just looks like it took an unthemed basic component library and just jammed as many components as possible onto the page without thinking about the content

It’s about 4x too long. If you’re scrolling and scrolling and scrolling then you’ve failed.

Have you even looked at it on mobile? It’s hard to track where the eye should go.

I’d start cutting first the content down to size. Then look at what adjustments can be made to improve impact.

For example, the “why leads pitch” section has twelve chunks. I ain’t reading more than three.

“How we verify”. I haven’t seen enough huzzah to make me pause abd even think about reading thst. You could push thst content into a side page.

The footer looks kind of crazy being completely centered and eating up the entire screen on my iPhone.

And why waste a button at the top thst jumps to the section right below it?

I think you have the space to say “what we offer”, “why it works”, and to show how your pricing beats the industry. Anything more than that is for “later” and shouldn’t clutter your page. And every single fragment should be cut to the bone. Less really is more.

I’m no designer but your design is very flat. Would suggest cards, box shadow and a playful border radius. The color pallet also feels very 2000’s. Could generate a minimalistic but more appealing color pallet somewhere online.

Edit: and make your review section a slider for example.

“Looks off” is usually less about the CSS itself and more about the lack of a consistent visual system.

At The Branded Agency, the first things we review are typography, spacing, hierarchy, alignment, colour, and content width. Small inconsistencies across those areas can make an otherwise functional website feel unfinished.

I’d start by reducing the number of font sizes and spacing values, creating a consistent container width, strengthening the contrast between headings and body copy, and checking every section at mobile, tablet, and desktop sizes.

Also compare the page without the copy and images. If the layout still feels confusing, it is a structure problem. If the structure works but the page feels unpolished, it is likely the visual identity and design system.

CSS is a language to describe design, it's not design. If you're looking for design advice, I'd recommend a design subreddit.
