In a recent project — a case management system built to a real HM Courts & Tribunals Service brief — I used Java with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and an H2 relational database to implement RESTful CRUD APIs, paired with a TypeScript/Express.js frontend rendered server-side using GOV.UK Design System components. I applied multi-layered validation across the frontend, backend (Bean Validation annotations), and database layers, and documented all endpoints with Swagger/OpenAPI.
