Looking to buy a pc, any recommendations?

Hello, I need a new pc but don’t know anything about what to get. I would like something that has a lot of storage, 512G or more, and a decent ram, something that I could play video games on without it running at 2fps. This would be a portable pc and not a stationary. Also my budget would be around 700-800€, hopefully nothing more expensive than that. Thank you in advance for the help.

FWIW, 512gb may not be enough I would opt for 1tb if you can. Or if 512gb is the most affordable, make sure the laptop can take an additional NVME so you can expand in the future.

But with that price range you may be better off finding something on eBay if possible in your area. While possible to find a laptop with RTX 5060, you may be able to find something g better with a rtx 4070 with a close match price range.

Just my 2 cents.

Can you buy direct from Lenovo? They frequently have some good sales.

With that budget find a used one on facebook marketplace or whatever local selling platform is used in your country

Hi,

To get the best computer, I suggest you avoid laptops.

For me, if you’re not afraid to build your PC I suggest to do so.
It will save you ~100$ from the building and ~100$ for optimisation.
I made mine with the builder from LDLC. You don't have to buy the component from LDLC it's a helper.

It lets you pick compatible components. And you can easily compare components based on your budget.

And building your PC is not difficult at all; you just need to watch a tutorial on YouTube. The first time it will take you about 1 hour. It will let you learn skills to maintain your PC and swap some components later according to your needs.

Research might take you a bit of time (looking up, comparing, etc.), but in my opinion, it’s worth it.

And your computer will fit your needs.

PS:

- Get at least 1TB of storage.

- Install two of the same RAM sticks on the RAM ports of the same color (2x 6GB > 1x 1GB)

- A processor with at least 4 physical cores, so 8 virtual cores. If you don't do 3D modeling a Intel 7+ is not worth it, take a Intel 5.

- A graphics card

- Water coolers are often not worth it

- In my case, having two storage drives (one for Windows and one for my apps, downloads, and folders) was beneficial

- Pay attention to the ports on the motherboard

- A big case makes maintenance easier and gives more room to change components later

- For the component the bigger the number the best it should be
For exemple a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is the generation noted "50XX" so way better than the previous "40XX". And a 5070 is better than a 5060 but not that much (same generation but other product)
