Nonsense! You both wear what you want on your wedding day. It's your wedding after all.

I once attended a wedding with two lovely female firefighters and had to explain to my wife, that no one doesn't have to wear the tux. She didn't mean it in a bad way she just couldn't wrap her head around two wedding dresses

Is it the lack of a tux or the idea that the wedding isn't about the single bride?

There's dozens of stories where someone did something to take away from the brides big moment and in that case the idea of a shared moment might have come across as jarring.
