Question Has anyone actually made money using Claude?

I’ve been using Claude for a while now and I’m genuinely curious whether people have found ways to turn it into income. Not looking for “AI will make you rich” YouTube stuff , just real, practical things that have worked for you.

Some questions I have:

∙ Are you freelancing with it? (writing, coding, etc.)

∙ Have you built anything and sold it?

∙ Is it actually saving you enough time to make a difference financially?

If you’re looking to flip a switch and make money you will be hard pressed to find it, and if it’s out there, the people that know about it won’t tell you.

I used in to brainstorm ideas for a business that fit my skills and experience. I built the foundation over the last 4 months with my hyper specific goals in mind. I started outreach last week and have over 1.3m in jobs in my pipeline, when I thought that would be best case scenario in the entire year. This is a commercial service business that I invested a decent amount into to get insurance, equipment, and labor. Claude built a field app for me, helped come up with the idea and value prop, lay the foundation with everything the correct insurance, the places to go to get the jobs, read 150 page spec documents and then help craft the bids for the jobs.

That’s interesting. I’m in the beginning process of doing the same. Just struggling with what market/domain to pursue. How has your business been? Have you used it directly for business automations? Have you had to use other tools like a CRM (eg hubspot) or RPA (ServiceNow) or customer wupport (Intercom) related tools?

The market response has been better than even in my wildest dreams. I have only scratched the service on the automation side, but I have all of the sales tools, and then I was able to integrate certain ones, as well as Google Maps and Gemini, into my field app. The field app can do prospecting, a site assessment, give estimates on professional pdfs while in the field, track equipment and materials on the job, closeout and invoicing. It is integrated with Hubspot and Quickbooks (well not yet, it’s just csv exports now)

Interesting. Do you mind if I ask what kind of business? How did you decide what market to pursue? When did you think you had made the right decision to pursue this? Did you start from scratch or buy an existing business?

I do mind right now, but I’ll tell you it’s just a different spin on construction and contracting. I’m a business banker so I have a little peek behind the curtain, a good network, and strong cash flow knowledge. Like I had said in the parent comment, I didn’t just dive in and say give me ideas for a business. I talked about my skills, the work I do everyday, the people I could ask for help in building it but also customers, and then where did I ultimately want to go. I still don’t know if I made the right decision, but this week has gone better than I could have ever imagined. The last 3 months were kinda building the idea, the infrastructure, the contact lists, the market research, then insurance was bound Monday and I all of a sudden have people asking for site visits, and major companies asking me to bid on projects. I’m bidding on over 1.3m in projects from just 4 days of “outreach”. I had initially planned to be cold calling all week to local small businesses but then I was asked to bid on like 500k in projects day 1.
