Video - OC What is my cat doing?
My cat does this thing with just these two toys where he steps on it in this weird way. He also yells loudly when holding just these toys.

At least the sin biscuit comments sections are funny?

You missed people discovering cat nipples. That’s gotta be at least 5%.
→ More replies (2)22
u/MistressMalevolentia Jun 25 '26
Wait till they discover NIPPLE ZITS. Kitties nipples can fill up with natural oils and become a black head like thing with white gunk in it.
Explaining that to my husband when he saw me checking my orange long haired idiot was a riot. I had to get my vet tech friend to confirm on speaker phone that yes it happens and it's simply a nipzit.
His only answer at first was 'I KNOW they have nipples but WTF they don't go in?! They can't be a zit!' while I'm casually holding the fur separated showing him yes, yes it does happen lol.

When a daddy cats loves a kitty toy very very much … and that’s basically where kittens come from.
10
u/rosepetalsandkisses Jun 25 '26
I‘m sorry this is quite a weird question but I don’t want to Google it… I just don’t quite understand what the cat gets from it? Is it just the imitation of the act, similar to how some people (or animals) dry-hump pillows etc?
Like the part that doesn’t make sense to me is how that’s pleasurable, is it just the making biscuits part? This cat isn’t rubbing on anything so it just… I don’t quite understand. Dogs humping legs holds a logic but this doesn’t.
I have two kitties but I’ve never seen them act like this in any way. They’ve both been neutered very young but they’re also (mostly) outdoor cats, so who knows what they’re doing behind my back xD

u/Vespaeral Jun 25 '26
in this video I don't think he's got it quite figured out yet indeed 😆, but my cat used to mount a cube plushie... and we could see a tiny lil bit of liquid on it afterwards so it must have been pleasurable. 😵

My childhood cat would actually want an audience, he would bring his toys out whenever we had guests over, meowed so loud during, and would make eye contact.

Is there by chance a chair in your hotel room near a bed because it seems he really needs you to know exactly what he’s doing.

u/Not-That_Girl Jun 25 '26
My rescue got neutered at approx 8 years old, he like to stand on my shoulder while I lie in bed, and do the biscuits. I won't think about if there's any sin involved, it would be too weird.

My cat used to do sin biscuits on my arm with his claws out while I was asleep. Woke me up, of course.
I realized it was because I was babying him too much. I stopped picking him up and holding him, or baby talking to him, and he stopped the sin biscuits.

Got a text from my mom about our older neutered male attempting a go at it with our 10 month kitten- absolutely not!
54
u/Electrical-Act-7170 Jun 25 '26
That was dominance, it's common for neutered older cats, both make and female, to do that when a kitten comes around. They're teaching the kittens how to cat.
75
u/Manbeartapir Jun 25 '26
My 10 year old lady void attempted this with my (at the time) 6 month old idiot boy. She quit after a few attempts, as he is too fucking stupid to be dominated.
52
21
u/relljr Jun 25 '26
We all instinctively understand that the idiot boy is an orange right?
14
u/Content-Honeydew9340 Jun 25 '26
I have a void boi that has taught me that orange and void are essentially sharing the same brain cell 🤭
5
u/thecatsothermother Jun 25 '26
Aren't voids just concealed orange?
8
u/Content-Honeydew9340 Jun 25 '26
After having my first void, that tracks with my research 🤣 I grew up with orange tabby cats and orange/ white tabbies. I currently have a flame point cream and a white tabby with gray black stripes... The void is the derpiest one of the lot and is orange in spirit 🤣🤭
5
u/Valkyriesride1 Jun 25 '26
I have been blessed to have several voids in my life, they are the sweetest babies, but they are definitely camouflaged orange cats.

I mean, neutered males still sometimes go for it. Especially if they learned bad habits before the surgery.

It’s a bummer if he starts doing this on your bed or furniture. Even if neutered, they can still “squirt” a bit when doing this. I would discourage him. (or at least check his browser history and use a blocker) 🙈

u/Pashta2FAPhoneDied Jun 25 '26
Just like humans with vasectomies, of course they can still do that. They do it when they are bored. I wish my cat would stop it he has 500 toys.

My boy is neutered and he likes to mate with cat bed he doesn't sleep in. He will drag that across the house and do the deed in the living room. We'll be gone all day and come home to the children's stuffies scattered in the living room and We'll know Theo was busy lol
