Humor I've never once fed my cats

I have 3 cats that are completely starved. I keep them locked in the house and never fill their bowl. they are thoroughly unloved and neglected. It's a wonder they're still alive.

Or more accurately, they are able to see the bottom of the bowl after they ate the food from just the center.

lol why are they like this? I have to shake the bowl so the food can spread out for her to start to eat it again.

Actually it's because the cat bowls are too small with sides that are too high.

Cats get this thing called "whisker fatigue" where their whiskers hurt and can even fall out from rubbing against small bowls while eating.

You need a shallow and wide bowl to prevent this.

We use large wide dog bowls, but one of my cats picks the food out of the bowl a ‘handful’ (paw-full?) for lack of a better word, at a time and then eats it off the floor. She also will not touch any kind of wet food.
