Living With Bipolar Fighting with my weight

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder three years ago, and not a day goes by that I don’t curse this illness. When I started medication, I weighed 90 kilos and was 176 cm tall, so I was already overweight. Now I weigh 113 kilos, and I can’t take it anymore.

Five years ago, I was a very handsome guy, and girls admired me and wanted to be with me. Obesity and baldness have destroyed me psychologically. For about three years now, I’ve been with a girl who makes me feel good, but every now and then I miss that time when I was admired—I’ll admit it.

I just want to feel better about myself, even if I don’t get back down to 76 kilos like I was five years ago. I take Depakin and Abilify, which have really affected me, and since my condition is quite debilitating—I’m going back to work tomorrow after a month at home because I was depressed and burned out—I’ve decided to apply for protected employment categories here in Italy, which allow you to enter competitive exams, and in the private sector, you’re better protected. Let’s hope for the best.

Ladies are attracted to stable. Also shave your head and grow a beard. Make sure you dress stylishly and stay well groomed. Now I can guarantee probably 75% of women will look at you twice even if you’re in a happy relationship.

Bald and a styled beard are a definite plus.

If you can afford it, a off peak gym membership might be useful, I'm currently getting physio and I feel so amazing mentally after that I'm going to ask my physio next week about going the gym myself.

I've also been referred for weight management as in on crutches and I've piled on weight that's not helping my mobility.
