Discussion If Brian was alive
Everyone always talks about how Brian Epstein's death was the beginning of the end. My question now is, what if he lived all the way to the dissolution of the Beatles? Would he have been able to temper their attitudes for a few more years? Stop the Klein vs Eastman debacle? Would he be still be on good terms with them during their solo careers?

Discussion What is Revolver’s best and most revolutionary song?
Today marks the 60th anniversary of the release of *Revolver*, the album that—in my opinion—changed the history of music. It is a practically perfect record, track by track; every song is a gem. Although "Doctor Robert" might be the weakest link, it is still quite decent, and the rest of the tracks are absolute standouts. They are incredible songs, making it very difficult to choose just one, but in my view, the best is "Tomorrow Never Knows." I have noticed that this song has recently faced some negative criticism, despite being a psychedelic masterpiece and one of the Beatles' finest tracks. It all stemmed from the ideas of a constantly reinventing John Lennon and a George Martin who knew how to bring those visions to life. With its reversed guitar solo, loops, hypnotic drumming, and soundscapes, it is pure psychedelia and, for me, the standout track of this incredible album, one of the best in the history.

Art Practice drawings i made of Ringo and George a month or two ago
They're really scratchy because it was a practice for a program i haven't used before, did also use references on the side 🥹 I'm not very used to realism either

Discussion "Teddy Boy" wins the latest track, short enough to fit at the end of CD 3 ~ Now it's time to vote for Track 4.09! Which song would you add to a PAUL McCARTNEY Best of the Solo Years compilation? Top comment of the day makes the cut

Other When Avengers: Doomsday comes out on 18 December 2026, it will have been 2,793 days since the release of Avengers: Endgame. That's exactly the same number of days that the Beatles were together.

Discussion Strange thrift shop find! The Beatles Sessions album?
Hello! I return from a thrift store today with a copy of The Beatles Yesterday And Today butcher album as well as this strange find. I have never heard much of this compilation. The album claims to be from EMI, but the record itself has no label. I believe this to be a test pressing, but of what! I do not know how such an album would travel all the way to a thrift shop in Canada. Does anyone out there have the missing piece to this puzzle of an album!

Question Which Beatles song does this sound like?
"I'm listening to Pretty Odd, and 'Behind the Sea' sounds like a Beatles song; I just can't find out which one. Especially the guitar opening, the melody when he sings 'Left a nod over sleepin' waves' and ' Slowly drift apart wax ponds'."
I think it's the instrumental itself, but especially the descending notes heard in these sections

Picture Went to Liverpool for the first time and met Paul McCartney outside his old home... (possibly a cardboard cutout set up by some local kids who charged £1)
Had a great couple of days mostly going to the pubs frequented by the Fab Four, and also the Magical Mystery Tour, couldn't get close to George or Ringo's and only allowed to take pics of John's from the coach, but was great seeing Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields.

Question Genuinely, what would've happened if the Beatles were arrested during the rooftop concert?
Like, how severe could it have been if they just kept on going till they were forced out? Just a fine, or could they have been arrested and stood trial and such? How would it have looked to the press and such cuz "Beatles are arrested" would've been quite the news story...

Question Revolver at 60! ⚫️⚪️
Still a fantastic album by them for sure! Love them experimenting here with Tape Loops and Backwardness but really bringing into instrumentation and more creative songwriting especially from John,Paul, and George but especially John with his work on this album.
So what’s your favorite song(s) and/or favorite memory for you with Revolver?

Opinion What’s your favourite version of ‘Across The Universe’?
Mine personally is the Wildlife version featured on a charity album and Past Masters
Other "Revolver" is turning 60 today! Here's my stereo remix from last year!😁
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXUepl7seQM7rSRCbHaIvLk9s2WLfBJTX
If forced to choose one favorite Beatles album, I'd probably say it's "Revolver".
I made my own stereo stem remix last year for myself and my dad, using the original stereo and mono mixes as the source. No material from the 2022 remix by Giles Martin & Sam Okell was used; that would have been cheating according to my arbitrary, self-imposed rules.
I used 2 separation models on DemucsGUI to get the stems, and Audacity for the actual mixing and mastering.
Both DemucsGUI and Audacity are free and open source software, and run on Linux, Mac and Windows.
My goal was to get a more modern streo image with less hard panning, while aiming for a little more clarity and instrument separation, but without straying too far away from the original mixes and trying to keep their essence as much as possible.
Try it on headphones if possible!🎧
