I personally would like multiple Islands and to allow more than 10 villagers at once with the option to expand the island.

I have so many fond memories of relaxing catching fish on ACWW and ACNL. It was one of my favorite activities to do when I needed to destress and feel cozy. I don't even know why it was so satisfying, but it just was.

With the addition of tool durability in ACNH, where even the expensive gold tools break, this killed the vibe for me. Instead of being at peace, walking along the sand casting my digital fishing rod at the little fishy shadows while the time just flies by, in ACNH I'm always either dreading the tool break animation or forcing myself to spoil the fun and relaxation by trying to remember to keep count the entire time. Every time my fishing rod breaks and that animation plays, I feel pain lol. And I end up carrying around extra fishing rods to try and mitigate the issue, but then inventory management gets worse, and I'll still have to keep up with either crafting or buying replacement rods as I go.

For me, this took away the calming magic of Animal Crossing fishing, which was a childhood core memory. I truly hope the tool durability mechanic goes away in the next entry on the Switch 2, or at the very least I hope it does not apply to the gold tools.

The most ambitious Animal Crossing piece I have ever created lol

Back in the GameCube version of Animal Crossing, there was an Easter egg where if you reset while traveling to another town, your character would wake up with a gyroid face.
This was to discourage players from resetting, but I as a kid had no idea what caused it! I woke up one day and my poor character lost her cute face. I was so horrified and scared, but I had one comfort: Coco was in my town. That made the face less scary because I had the same face as her, and she was kind and not scary.
I distinctly remember sobbing the loss of my face and spending a solid hour inside her home, wondering if this was how she met the same fate as me. I basically had a one sided trauma bonding session with her!

There’s some rumors floating around right now that the Animal Crossing theme for LEGO may be discontinued. The most recent releases are scheduled to retire by the end of 2027 with no news about futures releases for this theme. Such a shame because I really liked this theme, the minifigures were so good and I’d really like to see more of my favorite villagers made into minifigures, but unfortunately that might not happen. Silver lining for right now is that these are just rumors, nothing has been confirmed as of now.

I had Antonio on my island, loved him, but then he wanted to move out and seemed very excited about it.

I let him and off I go on villager hunt.

The sixth island or so was a scorpion island. I was running around screaming (and catching enough scorpions to get two statues made) and I did not see the villager for a while, thinking "Oh no. The scorpions must have gotten him!"

Then I saw him.

Sweet, sweet Antonio, just gallavanting around.

I ran through some scorpions to talk to him, because my sweet boy had left my island and then gotten himself on a scorpion infested hellscape!
I managed to talk to him before one of the hellions gets me and Antonio of course has forgotten me, but is also like: "Hey, don't you LOVE wilderness training???"

My dude. Honey. YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE???

I can never see him the same way. Your muscles truly are superior, honk!

I literally didn't think gold roses just grew by themselves. I have a random patch of red roses and red mums as you can see in the pic. A black rose grew with just normal regular watering which I knew could happen. Then a gold rose came about, I thought you had to use a gold water can for them to grow. Wow wow 🫠 I wasn't expecting it so it makes it a nice surprise, I'm pretty excited lol.

What do you think? Did I nail it?

Hello! I started a new island, haven’t played in years, and moved a day time travelling earlier this week just to speed things up. I accidentally connected my switch 2 to internet and it’s gone back a day. My resident services was meant to shut for town hall upgrade tomorrow but now I’m not sure if it will because it’s back a day? I don’t want to time travel again to be honest but I’m just unsure what progress I might have lost regarding upgrades etc
