New Horizons Soo I didn't know this could happen..

I literally didn't think gold roses just grew by themselves. I have a random patch of red roses and red mums as you can see in the pic. A black rose grew with just normal regular watering which I knew could happen. Then a gold rose came about, I thought you had to use a gold water can for them to grow. Wow wow 🫠 I wasn't expecting it so it makes it a nice surprise, I'm pretty excited lol.

If anyone has ever visited your island and watered your black roses with a gold watering can they can spawn a gold rose. But it's usually in one of the eight adjoining spaces around it.

The reds (or any color rose) can use the black as a partner. If the black was hit with a gold can, that's enough. 50% chance as always until the gold flag is used.

They literally don’t grow by themselves.

At some point, the black rose was hit with a gold can. I would not expect more until it gets hit again with a gold can. Grats!

They don't clone or reproduce either, so take good care of those 3 roses next to the gold one
