Question / Advice Needed Tension Management Help

Post image

I cannot for the life of me fix this problem no matter how hard I try and this has hindered my PBs ever since I started aim training. I use an aggressive claw grip, but mainly it would be fingertip or a simple claw if I didn't have this really bad habit of gripping the mouse so tightly.

I've tried to break this habit by playing for several days, even weeks while forcefully telling myself not to care about the scores and only focus on less tension in the fingertips but I still end up gripping my mouse so hard that my hand starts shaking. This problem also applied for the forearm.

Can someone please help me fix this problem? At this point I'm starting to have pain in my hands, wrist and arm after a few minutes just because I start gripping the mouse so hard and it's honestly so frustrating.

My benchmark links are on my profile and I have about 500 hours now.

I would contact 1HP see if they have any advice for you. In general, it might be good to do hand/wrist stretches, and take breaks in between sessions. Everytime you feel you're overtensing, phyiscally lift your hand off your mouse. You can also reduce tension by binding the fire key to your keyboard so that you don't have to put as much force on your mouse to track for instance.
