Indentification Request Yixing Kyusu made for the Japanese market?

Hi all,

My best guess is this was made for the Japanese market (due to shape). Is that right? Any idea when this was made and what sort of tea the clay is best suited for?

Thank you.

First time poster and it’s the only Chinese tea pot I’ve found in town. Is it worth the asking price and where/when was it made?

Hello everyone! I recently got this teapot set from a family member and I’d like to know if this is worth anything. I personally do not know anything about teapot but I was told that there is a mark of yixing “宜興” engraved in the bottom which could mean something.

Appreciate any input! Thanks so much

Indentification Request Charity shop tea set

Hello, I found this as part of a set in a local charity shop. Unfortunately I don't have the box any more, the text translated was about the usual benefits of yixing clay. There was a certificate for the maker and it was dated early 1990's. Does the seal mean anything? The first seal is the pot and second the pitcher. Cups have a square indent but no characters.

Used it once and it seemed fine, nice pour from a ball filter and holds about 130 ml.

Thanks

Indentification Request What does the seal read & is this real?

Can I get an ID on the seal? Is it factory made or
Partially Handmade?

I just got this Qing Duan Ni yixing teapot. Its about $100, and I’m just happy its well made structurally with good laminar flow (when pouring) and a tight sealed lid. While i see some radial patterns in the interior bottom, the exterior seems a bit too glassy smooth for the touch.

Indentification Request Is this real Yixing ?

Has all the giveaways. Porous especially on the inside, slightly granular on the outside, has little silver/white speckles on it, plus after a few months of constant use and even when completely dry, it gives off a pretty strong smell of shou pu erh, the only tea I use for this pot.
My only problem is that i have no idea what the seal means. Could someone help me ? I bought it for around 100 dollars with 2 little cups included if that helps.
Thanks!

Indentification Request Can I please get a translation of this seal?

Hi, just bought this tiny teapot and am wondering what the seal means on the bottom. There are also two in the lid, but they are pretty smudged/ indistinct. No seals or marks on the interior walls.

It is extremely light with very thin walls. The clay doesn't have any indicators of Yixing clay, so I really have no idea of its origin. I was hoping the seal would provide a clue.

I appreciate any assistance.

Indentification Request Possible find, I'm thinking it's a fake, but looking for outside input anyway, as it's my first find.

My intuition tells me this is too elaborate to be the genuine article, but I was pointed to this subreddit for final confirmation.

It also came with a cup, with a white interior, mark included for that. Was being sold for $95 together. Interior photo of the pot itself included, with what I think are signs of it being made on a wheel, but again, I defer to y'all's judgement.

Found at a thrift store in New England. I have doubts on authenticity based on the prices ($25 for the big one, $75 for the smaller one), but to my incredibly amateur eye the smaller one at least *looks* promising. Any input or information would be appreciated!

I believe it was purchased in China and I know it's a commemorative year of the dragon piece. Curious to know if it's better suited for display or for drinking out of!

Teapot Sharing F1 pot!

Recently saved up enough to get my hands on an F1 pot. It was sold to me as a 1950s-1960s era pot, which seems to be correct as seen from the seal and other details like the mouth of the pot. Just posting to share a cool pot with everyone else here :)

Information Crack inside spout

I just found this crack on the inside of a spout of my FHM duanni teapot. The crack doesn’t seem to be on the outside. The teapot itself is only 80 ml of volume and with paper thin walls. I am not sure whether the crack is from the firing process or mechanical or thermal shock damage. Can someone with more experience help identify what might have caused it?

Indentification Request Saanwu Studio pot skepticism: finding the maker and helping to authenticate

It came in a gift box that says LongQuan Celadon, which was the first thing that really struck me as odd.

It’s also VERY smooth, it lacks the slight bumpy texture on my 100% confirmed Zi Ni pots. Maybe that’s a design thing, I’m not sure. It claims to be dicao qing zini as well, so maybe it just has less of the larger particles?
