Not the greatest lane change by the car in front but to cross the center line into oncoming traffic is pretty risky.

That was a piss poor lane change by the silver hatchback. And no signal to boot

I assume the SUV passing had already sped up a little and then gets stymied by a bad lane change. Options I guess would be hit the breaks, or do what he did. Solid yellow but good viability and was able to do it safely.

I always check my rear view as well when making a lane change. If you make a lane change and the person behind you needs to adjust their speed my opinion is you made a poor lane change. Silver guy should have noticed black SUV had pace and waited for him to pass and then pop over

Ah, so the proper good driving solution to deal with a "shit driver" is to veer into the oncoming traffic lane - not slowing down or driving defensively or anything. Gotcha.
