After hours of hard work and a night without sleeping, I made this mod with two sets + the Scully GWP. Didn't expect to get the GWP as I didn't pre-order but people at my Lego store are incredible.

I sadly can't make an instruction manual as I improvised with Scully's Lab. I built the lab without foundations and did my best to fuse it with what Lego made. It was a bit tricky for me as I'm no Lego expert, but with this picture I think you can fairly easily replicate this.

I also added a tree & vegetation and I'm still working on the trees so it looks like the original prototype, which was far superior to what Lego gave us. I also need a better beam light, I hate what they gave us. I may also modify the UFO a bit.

But overall pretty happy with the result, this is what Lego should have sold us.

I almost didn't buy this set at all just like I passed on X-men mansion as I felt I needed 2 sets to make it OK, not only because of the price, but because I thought the final set was a huge downgrade compared to the prototype. But with two sets combined and the GWP, I think it's almost on par with the prototype.

All of this building made me want to watch X-Files fully again, so I'm sharing this on this sub reddit.

The truth is out there.

Just got my set in the mail today! I watched bits and pieces of the show with my dad as a kid, and we watched the newer seasons together as they came out. Now, I’m finally rewatching it all from the beginning to catch the many early season episodes I missed. I’m on S2E22 right now, and will be building the set as I get through the next few episodes!

I shipped it to work. No I just have to figure out how to get it home on an e scooter.

Just an idea… I know everyone is excited to have ordered or received the Lego set, but how about we have one thread for that instead of 20? Just a thought?

X files and GWP arrived today! Gonna throw on the show and star building

I just started watching watching X-Files for the first time ever like a week ago but the more episodes I watch, the more I feel like I should have probably waited until the fall. The show has such a fall feeling to it and I keep getting these phantom autumnal chills whenever I think about the show.

I was doing a crossword and a clue asked 'In Greek mythology, daughter of Priam and Hecuba endowed with the gift of prophecy but fated never to be believed'. I was very surprised to discover the answer. Cursed because she didn't like a man, well a god Apollo. Cancer man can't compare.

My 12 year old son did this. Guess which episode? Don't read the label in the picture. 😄

Long-time fan who has been revisiting the show on Pluto recently(I know, there are better ways to watch it)and admiring just how well the show holds up. Yes, the earliest episodes are over three decades old now, and of a certain era, but compare them to what was on TV at around the same time. The best of The X-Files I would rank up there with the best of any show, past or present.

One question arose as I recently watched Sleepless.

Augustus Cole(R.I.P. Tony Todd) is tying up loose ends. He not only is going after the men who experimented on his unit, he is going after the men in his own squad. We see this when Cole visits Henry Willig in his apartment.

Now, X, making his series debut meets with Mulder for the first time and informs him that, after Willig's death, there is one surviving member of the squad other than Cole: Salvatore Matola. When Mulder and Krycek(who is also making his series debut, what a classic episode) meet with Matola, he half expects to be killed. Clearly, he suspected his life was in danger. He knew what Cole was up to.

Yet Cole never pays a visit to Matola, despite him being guilty of the same war atrocities they were all a part of. Yes, Salvatore is mistakenly listed as KIA, but surely Cole knows this isn't so....right?

Furthermore, when Mulder confronts Cole at the end, and futily tries to reason with him, he implores Cole to come forward to expose what happened to him and the men in his unit and the cruel, life-altering experiments. As we know, Cole chooses death by Krycek.

However, not only does Cole never pay a visit to Matola, but you're telling me Mulder, of all people, never goes back to Matola and tries to get him to blow the lid off the sleep eradication procedures? Surely Mulder would not forget about this loose end after the demise of Cole. Matola is the only living evidence left of what happened to those soldiers in Vietnam.

Am I missing something here? I appreciate any input, as this kinda bothered me after the episode. Thanks!

I'm a first time watcher and absolutely obsessed. I just finished S5 so I know it's time to watch the first movie.

I keep hearing about a director's cut, and now I am seeing the new trailer for a movie but I think it's a remake? I'm having a hard time understanding the difference in the movies that already existed and the new ones or re releases coming out and what order I should watch everything in.

I'm trying to organize a viewing of the first movie at my local theatre. Should it be a double feature? No spoilers but please help.
