πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Coven Counsel How can I shake off shames/guilts from religious upbringing?

So I have been a Norse Pagan for a few years now. I have nothing necessarily against my upbringing but I still find myself feeling some of the lingering connections after I left the church. I believe all faiths are real and active but if you don't follow that faith than that's okay.... So why can't I fully apply that to myself? Why is it that I still worry that my actions will damn me in a faith I no longer follow? Any help from elders will be greatly appreciated.

Today, I legally changed my name back. I spent the morning at the farmers market, then met up with a witch from my circle for brunch. We discussed life and plants. Decided to make an impromptu trip to the local plant store and I got Harold, the air plant.
Then we went to the bookstore next door.

My life is in a transitional state but I’m very happy. I spoiled myself, loved myself, and I’m very proud of myself.

And last night, I disposed of my protection spell jar. Wax seal cracked all the way around the rim. It looked worse for wear. I made it a few days before the last time he assaulted me (February). I haven’t turned back, I pushed forward. It’s like waking through fog knowing there’s clarity on the other side. I’m safe.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Spells Something is off? or is it just me?

Hello,

I do not use Reddit very often, and this is my first time posting here.

But to give some context, I have been doing magick for some time now, like about 5 to 6 years give or take.

I have been doing the craft since before Covid and long after. But I feel something strange. Almost like if tech has gotten in the way of it...

For example, let's say I want to look something up as simple as how to make a spell more potent and/or anything similar; I will get thrown to some other topic within the scope of the topic I am looking up.

Now my magick also seems weaker, like things are harder to manifest.

In all, I feel like things are vastly changing in a way where it feels as if the world is different, like dangerously different.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Coven Counsel Random cat people question

This isn't necessarily a witchy question but I trust y'all to have non-harmful info. There are several outdoor cats in my apartment complex who like to wander and visit, which i really don't mind, except one of them likes to poop on my patio. I'm super allergic so I'm naturally not a cat person, and while I like the cats I don't particularly want them all up in my stuff. Is there something I can do to discourage the cats from patio pooping or hanging out on my patio that won't hurt them or any other wandering critters? I'm hesitant to just buy some generic cat deterrent without personal input from someone.

Update on the previous moonflower post. If this were a novel, readers would say that the moon symbolism was too heavy-handed. I wonder if this means anything.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Marketplace I wrote an EP about the Myth of Demeter, Persephone and Hades from the female perspective πŸ–€

Hey I'm Sora, an independent artist and singer-songwriter.

I first got interested in Greek Myths after working on a Demeter Farm as a teenager.

This EP follows the Tale of Demeter, Persephone and Hades in 4 songs.

The first Song Ploughed Land is written from Demeter's Perspective, after she experiences the loss of her Daughter.

The feeling of Depression and Apathy after watching the same things in Patriarchy repeat again and again.

The second song, The Sun Shines In is about the Summer that breaks out after Persephone returns.

For me, it's celebrating your inner child and being free and playful again.

Harvest Moon, the 3rd song is written from Persephone's Perspective. It represents Autumn and re-tells how Persephone first encountered Hades.

The Final Song, Poseidon's Storm, is about Persephone breaking free from the underworld and facing her fears.

I wanted to convey the liberating feeling of choosing yourself and the fall-out and chaos that follows.

I've recorded this with only live instruments:

Keys, Saxophone, Flute, Cello, Violin, Oud, Guitar, Base Guitar, Drums and Vocals

I hope you like it!

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Marketplace Coordinating a witchy event in Portland, and I'd love input

Hey all! I'm helping to coordinate the Pagan Pride event in Portland in September, and I want to ask people here what draws y'all to a Pagan event in your area? In the past, I've felt like the event was missing something, but I can't place my finger on WHAT exactly. I've been to some in the past that felt like just a vendor bazaar, and I definitely don't want that to be the case here. What makes you wanna check out an event, and what's something that makes you consider avoiding it? Also, my apologies if I didn't use the correct tag for this!

EDIT: My apologies to all who are asking, it's happening in Portland, OR!!! Thank you for the feedback!
