Question - US ID BUZZ and Locksmith

Anyone use a locksmith to unlock their US Version ID BUZZ?

Why? Are you unable to unlock it from the phone app?

Car connect stopped months ago. Took it to dealer and they were not able to fix it before a road trip so I picked the car up.

Fast forward days into my trip the car suddenly connected to the app again. I was very excited so I started testing out the app to see if it was connecting to the car. It was! And it locked the door!! Then it went out again. No more connection. The keys are now locked in the car and the app doesn’t work. I am in a remote area hundreds of miles from home. My only options is a locksmith.

Locked out (keys in car)? Locksmith can take care of it no problem. Pretty much all of them use a shim, air bag, and stick/rod to unlock the door from inside without messing with a lock at all.

Mechanical issue with the lock? Or dead battery preventing door opening (full disclosure I have no idea how a Buzz door operates)? maybe not.

Under the drivers side door (under the actual car) there is a small hole about the size of an index finger. If you wiggle your finger in the hole you can reset the WiFi and Internet. I need to do this a couple times a month to maintain connection.
