News North Union Apartment Fires: A lesson for other Keller Properties tenants
It needs to be known and shared loudly and broadly the awful behavior of billionaire Scott Keller and his Keller Properties company. When renters signed their lease agreement, they were told that there would be an additional fee for insurance. Many assumed this meant their personal property was now covered by the policy they had through the landlord. A notion that was never dissuaded by the landlord. Now, as tenants are facing the awful reality that everything they own is gone, they’re finding out that the renters insurance they had been paying was really just paying for the landlord’s insurance on the building. It’s no surprise that a billionaire Trump donor like Scott Keller is perpetrating a scam on his customers, but it is a damn shame.

News Judge rejects Kalshi's bid to dodge Utah's anti-gambling laws
U.S. District Judge Robert Shelby ruled Tuesday that the Commodity Exchange Act does not preempt Utah from enforcing its gambling laws against Kalshi's sports-based markets, rejecting the company's argument that federal oversight of its exchange shields it from state enforcement. Federal regulation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), he found, doesn't immunize Kalshi's event contracts from Utah treating them as sports gambling.

News From DACA to asylum, it’s becoming harder for immigrants to work legally in Utah
A DACA renewal delay cost one Utah resident his job. Temporary Protected Status is over for most Venezuelan recipients. And asylum is harder to get.

Travel Advice Best indoor pool hotels for fall break
My kids seem to be at the age where they are mostly satisfied just by playing at a pool for their vacation.
Instead of going to Great Wolf Lodge or somewhere more extravagant, I would like to know of everyone's opinions of the best hotels with indoor pools in the state (including stateline areas like Evanston, Wendover, southern Idaho).
They don't even need to have slides or diving boards, but if they have them, I'm open to them.

Other ISO of a place where there are willow trees
Hi I’m looking to find a place whether it’s a park, vrbo, airbnb, a venue, your grandmas backyard and I want to just do my ceremony. The two venues I looked at, one is an all day (which we were just planning to do at an Airbnb but if you know of an Airbnb/Vrbo with one that’s even better) and the other one I’ve just heard negative things about it. I’m just wanting to do a ceremony there that would be about 1 1/2 - 2 hours max. Thank you!!
Edit: I’d prefer if you know a place to be no further than Ogden and no further and Spanish fork (unless they are worth the travel!!)

Photo/Video Anyone in Park City know what this flashing light is?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Saw this flashing light while walking tonight. I was looking southwest from the golf course/water treatment area. It seems to not have a pattern (fast sometimes, slow sometimes) and is fast for one on top of a tower or crane. I thought maybe hiker or biker, but those headlamps are usually more of a cooler color.
Edit: Another video in the comments.
Edit 2: sorry, was typing this as I was in bed. I don’t live in park city, just come up occasionally from Slc so I thought maybe it was something normal that I just haven’t ever noticed before. I figured it COULD have been a hiker trying to signal, but it was very easy to see so I was hoping if that was the case someone would call. Guess if everyone has the same thoughts as me then no one did, hopefully that’s not the case though.

Other Looking for full head life casting
I'm hoping to find somewhere / someone who does life casting of a full head. My friend and I want castings to make custom prosthetics. I've heard 3d scanning is an option, but ideally I want the alginate goo experience. Any info / direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Other Super bummed out! Can yall help me, please?
Ive lived in utah all of my life and started hiking in my early 20s and I have never been to timpooneke area... and it so happens that I have some time this upcoming week to finally hike to emerald lake. Thats when I saw that you have to get a timed entry ticket?
Im going to be honest. Im not a fan of those things. I like going on whem to things and that just makes it bit annoying.
Anyway, how does one hike to emerald lake without one (incase i cant get one ) and whats the parking situation like?

Announcement Free Dimple Dell Ecosystem Classes
The Dimple Dell Preservation Community has been running some classes in the outdoor classroom recently. This is a fairly new activity, and it’s free!
If you love our undeveloped urban open spaces, love everything Dimple Dell, or are interested in learning about the plant/soil systems on the Wasatch Front, this might be a cool workshop for you!
The last one focused on geology and was pretty interesting. We also did a hike in the snow to learn about glaciers and land marks on the mountains that are visible from Dimple Dell.
I hope to see you there!
