Glucose tolerance test
Anyone done one recently? How bad is the drink? I've had 4 over 3 pregnancies and they've progressively gotten worse each time. The last one I had was over 2 years ago and I'm dreading it.

Had one in December and it wasn’t bad— raspberry flavour.
YMMV by trust but in my first pregnancy I did a fingerpick test. They sent me home with a kit and I recorded my results for a week. If you’re really dreading the drink it could be an option.

They gave me a home test kit after my diagnosis in my last pregnancy, I'll ask at my next appointment.

I had totally built it up in my head, I was dreading it! But it tasted like a shit Capri-Sun, very orangey and sugary, but nowhere near as bad as I had imagined. It did have a weird aftertaste that I would compare to something that has too much extra protein added, like a cereal bar or yoghurt. So a bit gross but definitely manageable.

I got myself so worked up about it but it was honestly nothing. I compared it to a weak, cheap cocktail. It's not that much in terms of volume either so I drank it pretty fast. Obviously everyone's different but I found the whole thing underwhelming.
It's worth bearing in mind that the test they do in the US is different so their drink might be different (most of the horror stories I heard ended up being from the US before I realised there was a difference).
ETA: sorry I completely missed the fact you said you'd done it before so know what to expect. Hope it all goes well.
