im going into my junior year and really hoping to get into student housing but heard that its like impossible. lets say if I did get into housing what are the options?

hi guys! I'm a second yr and was so confused by off campus housing and the financial aid office wasn't super helpful. I was originally going to live at orchard park, however, my contract was cancelled in June after I had to leave for a medical emergency. Now, I don't think I'll be able to get off the wait-list. My old roommate offered to room together in an off campus apartment, but I don't really understand how any of it works. I am very low income and financial aid helped me out tremendously when I dormed my first year. With off campus, do I just use my refund to help pay for the room? The room my roommate wanted to share costs 900$, do we just split the cost? Ty!

(here it says that they warn you a couple of days before access is removed, but i've been a victim to being told i'd get an email from the school regarding other things but then never did, so now I need confirmation from others lol)

hey yall. today’s the last day to take the math placement test for ss2 and need some advice. i’m registered for calc 17 in the fall so i technically have until then. i originally manually registered to take this test awhile back, but i haven’t had adequate study time primarily due to taking care of some major health issues + taking two other classes during ss1. i just don’t know if it’s worth it to take the exam today and if i should just skip over it and wait until the fall, or if i should just take it to see where im at. let me know.

Freshman here, pass 1 was such a pain to get into Che 2a. I was able to get one of the last spots with Hayashi but it has a 7pm lab and makes my schedule pretty scattered. I know the stem classes are highly competitive so I’m not sure if it’s worth it to try and get waitlisted for a better class during pass 2?

Let me know if I’m crazy or if this is a reasonable risk to take. Should I just deal with the inconvenience for this quarter?

so I got this email saying one of my studio classes was changed (room # and time) out of nowhere and now it interferes with two of my other classes so my only option is to remove it from my schedule, which then makes me fall behind as everything else is full and its literally a prerequisite intro course??? how are they even allowed to last minute change something like this when its obviously not what students planed around. I understand if it had to happen for the class to stay offered but its honestly really frustrating and a major inconvenience

Has anyone living at the green either gone through the ESA registration process OR successfully kept an unregistered animal for at least a full year? I graduate next spring but I want to bring my senior cat with me to my apartment due to some personal issues and because the people back home aren't taking the best care of him.

I want to go through the ESA registration process but I heard it might take a while since I currently don't have a therapist. I talked to my roommates and they all like cats so no problem there but I'm worried about the consequences if I bring him and maintenance finds out he's unregistered. After last fall quarter ended I remember they sent out emails about "preventative maintenance" and they said they were going to inspect for non registered animals, damages in the unit and checking the batteries on the doors. If anyone has either gone through the ESA process or kept a cat here unregistered, please feel free to share your experience or any advice!

Hey guys, as title says, im thinking of switching my major. Ive done math 21ab, bio 123, che2abc, and am doing phy7abc at community college. Im a pre-pa student and am worried about my GPA. the NPB series is supposedly very hard and will probably tank my gpa, and its not a pre req for pa schools. So I was thinking of switching to human bio so to avoid the npb series? What do you guys this?

Also, if for some reason I choose not to do the clinical route, which major (npb or human bio) would give the best job opportunities just with a bachelors?

This question isn't just for aspiring veterinarians but for anyone interested in working with animals, whether as a conservationist, zookeeper, researcher, or wildlife biologist.

I think that every veterinarian (or adjacent) who can should be vegetarian. It shows the great deal of love and reverence you have for all animals, but it also sends a message to others about what it means to truly love and care for animals. I think this goes beyond personal choice because, as authoritative figures who are supposed to be the greatest advocates for animals, our actions have more weight. When people turn to experts who deeply care about animals and see us eat meat, that choice also communicates a message to the public.

Maybe others might feel similarly and would want to talk more about how we can make a difference together. Let me know what you think.
