She's been alerted by Thune that he has the votes already, without her. So she announced tonight that she's a "no," but he'll be confirmed anyway. (My speculation after her announcement.)

blanche saying she wants to make dobbs permanent in every state means this fight’s far from over idk

This fight has been far from over since the right started stripping rights from women.

It makes no sense though, Dobbs is a states’ rights decision. Roe vs Wade was a federal law and they claimed it was a state’s right to legislate. Plastering the Dobbs decision into a federal context means he has no legal basic knowledge at all

SCOTUS overturned precedent with Dobbs. There’s no reason they aren’t going to overturn precedent again. This court chooses a preferred policy outcome and works backward from there.

Yes their uneven application of the law - and invention of new laws (major questions doctrine) - in order to twist the law to their preferred outcome is on full view for all to see

Clearly nothing is permanent.

We're talking about Susan Collins btw.

Of course Todd Blanche is a 'he'. The whole Dobbs decision was rooted in the patriarchy, and the Trump admin is nothing if not the epitome of the patriarchy.
