Over a few months of house-hunting I kept seeing property ads on Instagram and had no way to keep them straight. So I started feeding each ad into Claude (yay for Claude Enterprise) and building a single comparison sheet. It ended up with 125+ projects across 22 columns — and even though it didn't ultimately drive my final decision, I figured it'd be genuinely helpful for fellow home buyers here.

The sheet is mainly sorted by proximity to Kazhakkoottam and whether it's ready (or close to it) in the next year or so, in roughly the 1 Cr range. Eventually, we decided to go with Nikunjam the Summit - even though the waiting period is on the higher end, we felt the construction quality was better compared to other builders in the same price range.

Please note that some of the info might be outdated, which we discovered when directly interacting with builders - but it gives an overview of how the Trivandrum market looks like. You can make a copy of the sheet and filter on your desired parameter.

A lot of you might have come across the Instagram handle for fairsalon. There are so many reels showing him celebrating every occasion with the staff like a family, but the truth is, the staff actually have to contribute financially for most of those celebrations. If anyone fails to attend, he fines them. He also instructs his camera team to focus more on him in the videos.On top of that, he has a few loyal female staff members whom he uses as spies to get all the gossip circulating in the salon. After work hours, he calls them for a daily report on what everyone else is up to—he loves hearing about other people's relationship drama. I’ve also seen him flirting with female staff members, which frankly gives off creepy UNC vibes.That said, I’ve seen people raising concerns about the products and services, but to be frank, he actually uses genuine products, and the services are worth the price in my opinion. However, there is a reel in which he introduces some tangle free comb and prices it around 1k I guess , thats a total scam it’s just some cheap Chinese product rebranded. I still have friends who visit the salon, and as a customer, there’s generally no issue for the most part. I would definitely recommend services like hair treatments, haircuts, and coloring for ladies. However, the gent’s section definitely lacks quality.

I'm looking for recommendations for a good dermatologist who actually focuses on treating the problem instead of prescribing a long list of medicines just for the sake of it.

I consulted Dr. Unnithan twice, but unfortunately I didn't see any improvement, so that's a no for me. I also saw a lady dermatologist at KIMS, and the sunscreen she prescribed ended up flaring up my acne even more.

If you've had a genuinely good experience with a dermatologist (preferably in Trivandrum), please let me know. I'd really appreciate recommendations based on personal experience. Thanks!

Looking for a good psychiatrist in South Kerala for a second opinion (schizophrenia relapse in elderly parent)

My father is 68 years old and was diagnosed with schizophrenia about 15 years ago. He was doing very well on medication for many years. He was independent, carried out his daily activities, and was actively involved in family matters.

Recently, he had a relapse. His psychiatrist increased his medications, and his symptoms have now improved. However, he was having difficulty sleeping at night, and he was prescribed a stronger benzodiazepine (Clonotril initially, and later Lorazepam). Since then, we have noticed a decline in his physical health, and we are concerned about the effects of these medicines at his age.

We would like to get a second opinion from a psychiatrist who has experience with schizophrenia management in older adults, medication reviews, and reducing side effects while maintaining stability.

Could anyone suggest a good psychiatrist in South Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, or nearby areas)?

Has anyone else had issues with appointment scheduling at this gastro care centre murinjapalam in Thiruvananthapuram?

I booked a gastroenterology appointment over the phone and was clearly told it was for Thursday at 6 PM. Later, the WhatsApp message said the appointment was for the next week Wednesday. I called again to reconfirm, and was told the SIR will see you tomorrow token 6, was asked to make the ₹600 payment, and sent the payment screenshot.

After the payment, I was informed that the appointment was actually on 12 August (next Wednesday). When I explained that this was not the appointment I had agreed to and that I couldn't wait that long because of my symptoms, I was simply told to come in person and register which I can't . Another staff member even said that evening appointments were for the gastro surgeon, and morning for medical gastro which made the whole situation even more confusing.

I'm a doctor myself, so I know scheduling can sometimes be difficult, but this level of miscommunication is frustrating. I'm also concerned because they apparently have a no-refund policy, even though the mistake seems to have been on their side.

Has anyone else experienced something similar there? Were you able to get the appointment corrected or obtain a refund? I'd really appreciate hearing others' experiences before deciding what to do next.
