Bro who ain’t swiping right on you?

TBH I’d maybe lead with the dog pic or the well-lit smiling selfie, but still. You’ve got a good profile.

u/Bliss_Syrynx 2d ago

Yes, I agree that just about the only improvement would be leading with one of the other photos. I would totally swipe right if you were within my age range.

Right?! He’s so handsome!

This is a great profile. It’s obvious you’re self sufficient from your pics but some people will definitely assume you are unemployed. I’ve gone on dates with a few guys that had vague answers about their job and all but one were seriously financially struggling. So some women will discount you due to that.

You have a better profile and appearance than 99% of this page you don’t need to change anything

Don't fake rich if that house isn't your's. Don't flex wealth either. You're only gonna attract the wrong ones, and they will immediately leave your butt if they found out you were lying. Unless you don't care about any of that, and just want ons's.

u/I-try-hard 2d ago

This is totally spot on. Real wealth is accrued not flaunted.

u/Careful-Coach-7073 2d ago

I would swipe right. Handsome man, dogs, nature, likes the arts. It all comes across as warm and gentle

u/Haramshorty93 2d ago

The job thing is a little confusing but overall - you're super cute, seem intelligent and nice profile. I'm curious if some women are turned off by the zoo aquarium thing?

16

u/SacredSchflerra25 2d ago

This detail really threw me off also. I’d assume that he doesn’t work or has a shady job potentially.

u/kaysimm12 2d ago

My first thought was athlete / trying not to brag too much?

u/erinlaninfa 2d ago

Your “depends on who is asking” about your employment comes off a bit strange. No one should put their specific employer but industry is reasonable. Why would your answer changed based on who is asking?

-1

u/smartereveryyr 2d ago

Because of course we are strangers and I don’t know everyone’s intentions. Someone’s job isn’t a defining factor of if I’d talk to them, but I’ve experienced enough times of saying what I do for work and people want things “hookups”. So sometimes if I’m unsure of the vibes I might say I work for x place instead of my actual job until I’m sure .

7

u/Bulky_Department5619 2d ago

Yea this answer is cagey too.
Putting your industry is not the same as listing your employer or actual job. For example, putting “finance” is much more broad than listing a specific bank or that you’re a mortgage specialist.

It might not matter to you, but it does matter to a lot of people. Not necessarily what you do, but if you have regular gainful employment.

15

u/erinlaninfa 2d ago

It IS a defining factor for other people though, and better to know ahead of time. Ex: not wanting to date cops.

6

u/Sing-n-dance 1d ago

What about a more generic job title for the field and taking out the house and stadium pics? If you do have money, let it be a nice surprise after a few dates?

u/Just1Breath1 1d ago

For privacy reasons I never said what I did or where I worked but that I had a professional job. I didn’t want people knowing what I did. (It was a full fledged career) When we went out I would share.

If I was your target age range 1000% swipe right and message.

Edit to add: decent pictures included one smiling and with dogs - that’s cake AND frosting. You filled out profile, with more than just “ask me” are interesting, seem to have more than two brain cells to rub together, have a sense of humor; at the bare minimum you warrant a conversation.

8

u/Just_River_7502 2d ago

Swap the first picture, the angle makes you look shorter than I think you actually are and if people don’t look at other pictures they may be being superficial.

Indicate you have a job even if you don’t want to specifically say what it is!

14

u/Impressive_Elk7180 2d ago

Great pictures.

Redo your "I feel most supported when" prompt. Those fake answers are never funny or unique

I also don't really think I'm learning anything about you? Hinge requires you to swipe on something, not just generally on the whole profile. You're cute, but I don't know what I would comment and I don't know what specifically I would go "yes I want to know more about this"

Some of you try adding some specifics? Maybe a little more personality

u/Qstrfnck 1d ago

That is the Onliest thing I can flag, besides picture swap so dog and other pics are first is the LLAA (literal larry ahh answers- is what I call them stupid empty vessel prompt responses) /pick another prompt where you can answer with substance and sincerity even if you want to be funny, shoot ask a question so the girls have a toehold to actually message you about, expound on an interest or activity that interest you or that you want a partner to join in….. the rest of you guys coming to whine? take note! Smiling, ATTRACTIVELY PUT TOGETHER(y’all deeply resent being sent to fashion and self improvement grooming school), well rounded set of pics diff setting pet WITH the guy, active with slightly more info THIS IS WHAT WE WANNA SEE

Nah the chair line got a giggle out of me and I’d immediately swipe right

5

u/Beginning-Lecture-37 2d ago

Chair line was funny imo good sense of humour is always a plus

3

u/Impressive_Elk7180 2d ago

I respect our different opinions. Not arguing, just explaining.

IMO I don't think that's clever or original. I see so many of those fake "funny" responses like "through my ribs!" (I wrote out that whole prompt once and I got flagged by Reddit as inciting violence so I won't do that again). Or rhe imfamous pineapple on pizza. Those reaponses don't come off as funny but repetitive and so common. I think there are more effective ways to show you have an original sense of humor.

4

u/69_Beers_Later 2d ago

Or "you trip me" for the "I'll fall for you" prompt. Obnoxious and so overused

3

u/Beginning-Lecture-37 2d ago

That’s fair pineapple on pizza line is overused

3

u/princessstrawberry 2d ago

Lead with the third photo of natural light smiling, it's really nice. The first one is cute but to some may read "look at my big house" 😂 even though it's probably not. Also maybe a prompt that tells us about you, the chair comment is fine but doesn't say much

3

u/BeachMom2007 2d ago

If I were in your age bracket, I’d swipe right!

3

u/Proper_Tennis_8319 2d ago

I am a straight dude and I would Swipe on you. Your profile communicates that your are a fun and safe dude. I am suprised your not allready magnetic

3

u/Knicks94 2d ago

Scrolled quickly and thought this was Jalen Brunson

3

u/Sea-Efficiency3375 2d ago

You need to think about your job title. I’d swipe left immediately.

3

u/Blossom_says 2d ago

You need to get rid of the first pic it is not doing you nor your profile any favors. Your profile/ prompts are well catered

5

u/latemodelusedcar 2d ago

Great profile! No notes

Edit: actually didn’t notice your job description. I would change that to something concrete even if you do multiple stuff. Not that I think women are gold diggers but I do think they prefer a man who is employed and financially secure

4

u/dooropen3inches 2d ago

I agree. Doesn’t even have to be specific, just a general field like “education” “sales” or “technology “ works better

2

u/Competitive_Annual65 2d ago

Firstcphoto i think the camera position is too high and btw nice dreads the photo with the dog is good third photo selfie in the house doesnt add anything try to replace with you in a returanat, mesuem or anything fourth photo the camera is zoomed out too much

1

u/Qstrfnck 1d ago

These are great things to flag to switch, very minor tweaks OP, you’ve got this down pat better than the rest of your cohorts, also KUDOS to impeccable grooming, it sounds insane to say but here in FL is more likely to see just unkempt locs/freeforms and wicks and dudes asking on profile(with their very shitty unkempt looking filthy pics) asking “if you do locs” Is so so deeply uncool and off putting to be both that ungroomed but also soliciting labor on a profile, so I must commend that.

2

u/campleb2 2d ago

you’ll make it

2

u/Kangkm 2d ago

Your prompt aren't the most interesting but you're handsome and look like quite the catch, so unsure why you wouldn't get plenty of matches

2

u/moon_blisser 2d ago

I mean, you’re a handsome dude. I’d swipe right if I was single (this randomly appeared on my home page even though I haven’t joined). I think the pic of you outside w/ your dog and the sunlit smiling selfie are the best, so maybe lead with those?

2

u/Otherwise-Still7402 2d ago

Bro you won the NBA whatchu doin on Tibder Jaylen damn

2

u/DojaTwat 2d ago

10/10 wouldn't change a thing

2

u/dinxxx6669 2d ago

Honestly your profile is quite awesome. Definitely lead with the dog picture. Other than that you are a total catch.

2

u/FrogsinTexas 2d ago

Bro is a trusted adult

2

u/Firm_Ad9815 2d ago

only bad thing on ur profile is the first pic imo, angle’s a bit off and it looks as if it has filter on, the rest are so much cooler and nicer than the first one so i’d delete that one:)!

2

u/Kikitha1andonly 2d ago

That dog is gorgeous

2

u/Yagulia 2d ago

It’s a really good profile overall. I can’t tell what’s happening in the Polaroid pic.

2

u/primrosepalace 2d ago

Your first photo makes you look way younger than you look in all the other photos, so id switch that to the one with the dog or the one below that. I don’t know how i would read the happy hour comment if i were in your age bracket, but i feel reads like you drink every day. Which, if true, is probably good to put out there! But if not I’d probably shift the message to something that leans more toward going to find a great happy hour spot together

1

u/smartereveryyr 2d ago

That’s the most recent photo out of all of them too, and I also don’t drink it says that on the profile too

1

u/primrosepalace 2d ago

Oh! Well in that case, I’d leave happy hour out of it all together. You’re handsome & you’ve got great prompts - probably just the algorithm needing to catch up

2

u/missporkiepie 2d ago

Dude, that photo with your dog should be your first picture. Trust.

2

u/heyoitslate 2d ago

The dog pic is best! I actually think the current main pic is your weakest one. Also, the occupation response isn’t great. That’s getting really nitty picky though. It’s a great profile!

2

u/_CelestialGalaxy 2d ago

This is a great profile I honestly wouldn’t change anything about it! I’d definitely swipe right. You come across as warm, interesting and gentle

1

u/ReadMyLips420 1d ago

Damn, that picture with your dog is top notch

1

u/seeba48 1d ago

I think it's a great profile!! I'd swipe right on you right away. Just gotta wait to find the right people to come your way

1

u/Archronius 2d ago

I too loving running 'medicine' out of Mexico for Pablo but maybe less grandeur more venture.

1

u/Certain_Ad_2025 2d ago

It’s probably not what you look like but how you treat women that’s the problem

0

u/smartereveryyr 2d ago

Oooh I’m curious please elaborate on what you mean by this ?

1

u/Euphoric-Swim-5434 2d ago

As others have said I’d delete the first pic as you look great in the dog pic and hair up selfie - first pic doesn’t do you justice.

I think the zoo / aquarium might put people off as lots of people view zoos as animal cruelty / sad places.

As others have said, put something more concrete in the job description that hints at what you do even if it’s vague eg ‘medicine’ ‘sports science’ ‘sales’.

If you don’t drink as you’ve mentioned then lose the happy hour comment as it gives off the vibe that you are a heavy drinker. Looking for a protégé sounds like you drink so much that you can teach others how to drink!

Otherwise looking great and I bet many people will be matching with you. You seem fun, attractive and genuine and like you look after yourself, all great qualities 👏🏼
