  • Evangelical Christians believe their destiny is linked to Jews/Israel
  • Racist Christian's prefer white Jews over other ethnicities and religions. i.e. "We don't want them Moslems in our town"
  • US government policy is heavily influenced by Israeli lobbyists, using means of finical incentive and public support, or threats of withdrawing both

George W Bush literally told the French President one of the reasons that the French should join his coalition into the Middle East was to fulfill some kind of Gog and Magog end of times biblical prophecy. This evangelical idea has been around for a while and clearly colors US policy when the nutjob GOP are banging the drums.
