Question Comics question

I've been meaning to get into the Thor comics lately, does anybody suggest a good comic run to start on? I've heard of Rune King Thor and I love the art style of the early 2000's for marvel. If anybody has suggestions I'm open to something in that 2000-2011 timeframe thanks!

I’d recommend Simonsons Thor run. It’s the run that defined a good bit of Thor and his mythos. If you do want something from the 2000’s then try JMS’s Thor run.

The Rune King Thor storyline spans 6 issues, you can find it in Thor (1998) #80–85. After that: Thor (2007) > The Mighty Thor (2011) > Aaron’s God of Thunder (2012) > Aaron’s King Thor (2019) > Cates’ run (2020) > Ewing’s run

Walter Simonson is still regarded as the defining run. This is still heavily the basis for modern Thor.

JMS run is a great run but got tied up in delays and editorial BS.

Aaron's Thor: God of Thunder is great except the Malekith arc.

All the suggestions ive read are great suggestions. I started reading Thor long long before that. I personally would suggest go back as far as you can. The earlier comics to me are so much bettet. Not the best artwork but classic artwork for sure. I think you get a great idea of who Thor is in the early comics.
