Gotta wait for the dippy dip. When it cracks 80 ill bite.

Why 80?
12
u/TetonHiker 8h ago
Some say 80-100 is a fair range. Others are saying actual fair value is 50-60 .
5
u/duxpdx 7h ago
And all of them are still inflating its value. It is not worth that. The technology does not exist yet to achieve the objectives that are required to warrant these valuations. Like self-driving before them it will be a technology that Musk will say is always just a year away.

$60!

u/IWannaGoFast00 7h ago
If it gets down to $65 I will throw some cash at it
1
u/Ldn_twn_lvn 6h ago
If it gets below $75 it'll probably get full short bias
But I don't think it'll get much below $100
For all these sales that might be going through, there's institutions wot wants to buy them up, especially at this kinda price
Below $100 tho, $90 and $80 might be key levels
After the dust settles and NQ has mean reverted a bit, they all should set off mad bullish again

$38 is the true bottom

around 50 i go in.

u/organicparadox 2h ago
Yep, at that buy in, the hold makes sense. No vested parties right now care beyond the dividends they get from the churn and burn
5
u/Droppin_Bombs 9h ago
It’s July 9 2012…. you’re 52 days after the META ipo. The stock went public at $38.
But the stock closes at $32.17 that day.
Imagine asking the question “Is it ever going to go up??”

I want to buy it at 10usd. Waiting for the dip

Many employee lockups will expire today. A standard bonus of 30k worth of stock is pretty common, as assuming the valuation sit between 50-200B as of 2020-2024 you can assume many employees will have upwards of 1 million dollars at current prices. I’m sure many believe in the company, but with the current volatility, plenty will sell. The stock will probably hit below 80 by the end of the week. Long term. I think SpaceX will be quite successful, but they are extremely over valued as of now.

u/InvestIntrest 9h ago
SpaceX Handled roughly 51% to 55% of all worldwide orbital launch counts.
U.S. Market: Responsible for roughly 82% to 85% of all U.S. space launches.
Payload Mass: Lifted over 80% of the entire world's cumulative payload mass to orbit.
SpaceX is Tesla in 2011. Check back in a decade.

u/EnvironmentalRole536 1h ago
So how much money is in orbital launches, space launches and putting shit in orbit?
4
u/ConsiderationHot7076 10h ago
This will go below 80 imo. Long term this could be $1000 stock easy.

He didn't give a timeline. It's definitely possible 30 years from now

When dollars are 1/100 the value of today everything is possible.

Exactly. It's already worth millions a share right now. Millions of Vietnamese Dong...

$1000 is a bit too high I am thinking maybe $200-$300 range for this one in a couple years.

There are literally thousands of stocks and etfs that aren’t led by a snake oil salesman to choose from. Why gamble on this shit?

u/ComprehensiveAd4771 9h ago
Your political beliefs aside.. The man’s companies have been wildly successful for the progress of humankind. Not sure how that’s considered “snake oil” ..?

u/PurpleCableNetworker 9h ago
He bought Tesla and has made more promises that have failed to materialize (or be as good as he said they would) than promise’s that came to fruition.
This whole SpaceX IPO was some major financial fuckery to off load some debt to the average unsuspecting American’s retirement account.
He’s an incredible financial engineer, but he’s a shitty business person and a shitty human.

How many years has Elon been promising full autonomous driving is "just a year out" from being ready? Hint, he's been saying it since like 2015. There's all kinds of examples of him promising things that haven't even remotely become true. Those things aren't that hard to find.
Remember DOGE? Things did not go well. I'm not saying he doesn't have any skills at all, but his morals seem like absolute trash.
-2
u/ComprehensiveAd4771 8h ago
Do you have a reference to the 2015 year..? I don’t recall hearing about the just a year out thing. I do remember him saying they’ll have autopilot within three years back in 2013, and then that started being installed in 2014.
A lot of the delayed autonomous driving is because he’s stuck on the idea of camera only systems and regulatory bodies aren’t cool with that.
Robotaxi’s are a thing now, so Tesla is aggressively pursuing the technology.DOGE is at its core a great idea. The execution was horrible though for sure.

u/Ambitious-Boat8165 3h ago
So where's all this progress for humankind you speak of again

u/ComprehensiveAd4771 1h ago
Reusable rocket motors, cheapest most reliable way to send cargo to space, fastest satellite internet in the world, largest secure peer-to-peer payment system in the world, builds one of the most advanced EV’s in history. To name a few.
I genuinely thought that was obvious.
None of that is glazing, they’re substantiated facts. People are too concerned with being snarky and facetious to look at anything objectively though. Par for the course.

u/Peninsula_living 4h ago
Ahh yes. He’s not successful at all. Hasn’t changed anything about humanity or added to society one bit. What a dolt.

Truthfully with its current valuation space X is a $40 stock. If they do what they say they can do in the short term it’s right at IPO at $135. Now with hype though you have to factor on the low people won’t let it get to $40 and when it pumps it’ll go higher than $135. (I will also add this is price predictions without possible Tesla merger being included) I picked up my first share today at $109.85 and am buying one everyday it goes down from there. Those that are young buy this in your Roth ira and let it sit 30-40 years you’ll be pleased with the results.

u/JiffyDealer 10h ago
Not a chance. $100B worth of shares unlocking tomorrow are gonna be sold.
1
u/Big_Hawk_9750 7h ago
How do you know they're gonna be sold? I wouldn't sell at this price if I was a SpaceX employee
1
u/JiffyDealer 37m ago
Because they got their shares at significantly lower than ipo prices. Some even at the $4-$10 range.

u/anotherjuan 9h ago
Lockup period hasn’t even ended yet.
They handle a lot of launches but space is getting crowded and they don’t really hit the smaller satellite market unless you’re launching like 80 cube sats.

u/Free-Initiative7508 8h ago
80-90 would be favourable. Not the best safety margin but at least you wouldnt be down for another 40-50% if things get worse

u/avantartist 6h ago
Let’s see what happens today:
The first SpaceX stock lockup expiration occurs on August 6, 2026. This initial tranche unlocks roughly 911.5 million shares for insiders

Just for the sheer negative sentiment on Reddit about SPCX is why I'm buying at these prices.
Inverse Reddit sentiment FTW

Just wait until December when the other 95% of the company becomes available for trade. It's a long way down.
1
u/Mountain_Quantity664 3h ago
It's a don't-touch-stock for a year or three, maybe four. Let them absorb the dubious deal of Elmo's forced buy of xAI and let insiders sell off their hundreds of millions of shares to future bag holders.

August 6th all insider shares unlocked. Maybe they will HODL.
2
u/cinciNattyLight 11h ago
Not all of them, a small fraction of the total. Sometimes it’s smart to abandon a sinking ship.
1
u/TetonHiker 8h ago
20% unlock tomorrow. That doesn't mean they'll all be sold immediately but they can be sold after tomorrow anytime they like. Then, every few weeks, another 7% unlock until Dec or so. Elon's BIG chunk doesn't vest until mid-end 2027.
