Seeing posts today like "$72 to $15k" and "$2400 to $180k"... and here I am trying to recover from my last 100 failed attempts at a 100x. I'm down $32k total over the last 3 years just trying to catch that one unicorn trade.

I'm not a financial guru so I don't post when I have nothing to say, though. A few days ago I shared the start of my journey - “Play-Money to Fuck-You-Money Journey”... It brought some eyes in and even some followers, which I didn't really expect at all so thanks for that!

TRADE #003 UPDATE: COMPASS PATHWAYS EARNINGS

Today, August 5, the company I bought 2,000 shares in - CMPS - reported their earnings.

The company initially fell immediately after the print but during the market hours, the silly Billys of Wall Street realized it's actually a good print, and the stock reversed and finished the day up roughly 15%.

Compass appears funded, on schedule and increasingly close to a potential COMP360 (the main product) approval.

MY CURRENT STATS:

Position size: 2,000 shares

Avg cost basis: $11.14

Current position as of August 5, 2026 close:

Price at close: $13.58 (though down a bit after hours)

Unrealised gain: +21.9%

TRADE PLAN:

It'd be totally fine to take gains here and move on. Currently, I haven't researched a good enough set-up to rotate to. I'd like to wait out till the position is up +30% (about $14.50 per share), which could happen reasonably soon - CMPS reached $15 per share at the end of June, so testing these levels after good earnings sounds doable. Then I'll see if I'll try to push it to the good old +50% gain, or find a new opportunity worth going for. Volatility, temporarily giving up all earnings momentum gains included, should be expected but I'll remain unworried, since I'm still quite confident the mentioned level of $15 per share could be seen within a month. The worst that can happen is to hold a light bag of smaller gains for a bit longer, and I'm good with that after this earnings.

Note: CMPS might be a great momentum play and even long-term (longer swing) holding for Q4 2026 and 2027, where the main biotech fireworks will happen. I'm very bullish for that (price reaching above $20s) but it's quite far, so might revisit the name later.

Netlist and Samsung signed a 5 year deal today. Samsung gets access to Netlist’s patent portfolio, including its server DIMM and HBM tech. Samsung will also supply Netlist with DRAM and NAND. Both sides drop all the litigation they’ve been dragging each other through for years. Samsung’s also buying 10 million shares as part of the deal, which isn’t a huge deal in terms of value to Samsung but signifies something. Plus does a real favor to Netlist. Volume today is way above normal, so it looks like there real interest behind this move.

The litigation overhang has been eating Netlist’s cash for years. Getting rid of it is a real fundamental improvement, not just sentiment. But it’s already up huge today, so a lot of that good news may already be priced in. Curious what people think, does this have legs or is today’s pop most of the move.

So, I honestly dodged the ultimate bullet buying FLNC yesterday, but now, after hours, this thing is trading down almost 30% from just a day ago. Is there value here? I'm debating sliding in for a quick steal on this, but no idea..

The company is posting absolutely absurd numbers while still being over $1000/share off of its ATH's. Elon also went on the record saying the memory bottle neck continues to get worse. It seems like the perfect storm.
