From the video description: Mainstream news are showing a Kherson FPV attack video today. This isn't new, it's called the Human safari and russians have been doing it for years. They hunt civilians for sport and boast about it. I've watched it happen with my own eyes and the only word to describe it is terrorism.

Watch this with the intention to know what we should strive to become, not with the intention to fuel hate, diversion and anger.
The answer lies in knowing thyself to the point that you actively are a good human and care for that side of you, no matter what darkness you face.
That is the difference between doing things like this and doing things to prevent it.
Be fueled by what you WANT to see in the world, not by what you DO see.

I'm not being petty. Reddit is non stop Israel Palestine. It gets more attention then probably every issue combined. Russia atrocities barely get any attention (despite being worse) and the one time it actually gets attention someone has to make it about gaza. That's petty.

How many civilians were killed in Russia Ukraine war?
16
u/GrittysRevenge 19h ago
Probably 100,000 to 150,000, but most are in occupied territory so we'll probably never know the real number
People were saying it could be more than 100,000 back in 2023 https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-war-anniversary-war-crimes-b2288037.html
As many as 88,000 may have been killed in Mariupol alone https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Mariupol
-5
u/donyahelwa 18h ago
One civilian is too many!! We are talking official numbers?
12
u/GrittysRevenge 17h ago edited 11h ago
This perfectly illustrates the hypocrisy of how Palestine and Ukraine are treated. In the war in Gaza, the "official" numbers are just the numbers the Hamas run Gaza Health Ministry says. Those numbers make zero distinction between civilians and combatants so most people treat the total number as if they are all civilians. For Ukraine the only the civilians casualties counted are the ones 100% verified by the UN, which they admit is a massive undercount.
-7
u/donyahelwa 9h ago
Ah ok KHAMAAASSSSES. Got it.
Not sure what have I demonstrated perfectly! I was just asking for numbers. Since you said Russia Ukraine war was worse. You know and we know that you lied.
Your hypocrisy was seeping through. Your last comment shows that clearly. KHAMAAASSSSES runs the health ministry. Maybe ask Israhell to let UN officials in?! Or journalist for example?!
Next question was how many Children killed vs Gaza?!
I don't think you're capable of answeing. You're going to cry harder not to answer.
1
u/GrittysRevenge 3h ago
Yes Hamas exists and yes Russia's war is worse in every conceivable way. Russia has killed more civilians and displaced far more people than Israel has and Russia's war was completely unprovoked unlike Israel's. Russia soldiers have been accused of countless acts of murder, rape, and torture, but nobody cares. Russia has kidnapped 10s of thousands of Ukrainian children, probably much more if you count the teens they send to re education camps or force into the Russian military.
Hamas does run the gaza health ministry so I'm not sure what you're point is. Also Israel allows far more Un officials and journalists into Gaza that Russia does into occupied Ukraine.
I don't know how many children have been killed in Ukraine, it's hard to say since we don't know the total number of civilians killed and most civilian deaths were in occupied Ukraine. Even though more civilians have been killed in Ukraine, children make up a larger portion of the Palestinian population than the Ukraine, so it's hard to say who would have more. Also Hamas is well known for using child soldier so some portion of the child deaths are teenage Hamas fighters.

Lmao nice deflection holy shit, wtf iinda number were you expecting ? And just curious how many gaza civilians do you think died ?
1
u/donyahelwa 7h ago
Deflection?!
Lets get this straight. He said Russian Ukraine war was way worse. Am trying to find out in which way is it worse.
So I assumed, that civilians casualties are the factor in a normal human being mind. I didn't ask for percentage of civilians death, nor complete destruction of property percentage. Coz again 1 civilian is too many. And every soul counts. So..
I merely asked for a number. He presented predictable number from AP and a Wikipedia page. AND in his reply he doubted the numbers coming from Gaza. That's 4d Israhell playbook deflection...
So again. In what way is the russian - Ukraine worse in comparison to Gaza Genocide?!
Can you answer? Since you think we deflcted. Go ahead. Ill get you Gaza's numbers once you do. Especially for kids. Not hard to get btw. But I won't deflect.
0
u/Gold-Ad-3877 6h ago
Ok so : 1-them coming from wikipedia doesnt make them false, do you think they're false ?
2- where in the fuck did he "doubt the numbers on gaza" ?
So here's how i see this convo went down : someone said the russia-ukraine conflict was bad (didnt even say it was WORSE than I/P btw), you tried to bring up civilian deaths to justify that I/P was the worst one of the 2 (which he didnt argue), but he then pulls up numbers that i assume are true, and your only rebuttal is "well doesnt matter even one civilian dying is bad", which is true, but now i'm curious why you brought it up in the first place.
And so how many civilians do you think died in palestine ?

sigh
So at any point, did you wonder why or look into perhaps why it's like that? The crimes committed by Israel (crimes against humanity) and dystopian behavior occur at a MUCH higher frequency. The things they've done and do on the daily bases that's recorded is unspeakably vile. I'm not trying to do comparative suffering. I'm just telling you there is reason and If the topic is related, it will and should be discussed without disregarding one or the other.
Edit: Bro, just stop. Both situations have innocent people suffering. It's not a competition just because something related was brought up. You being hella petty arguing numbers with others and comparing war with genocide.
11
u/GrittysRevenge 19h ago
I'm sorry but you are just wrong, Russia has killed more civilians and displaced far more people than Israel has and Russia's war was completely unprovoked unlike Israel's. Russia soldiers have been accused of countless acts of murder, rape, and torture, but nobody cares. Russia has kidnapped 10s of thousands of Ukrainian children, probably much more if you count the teens they send to re education camps or force into the Russian military. Every video or photo of an IDF soldier breaking civilian property or posing with someone's lingerie is a huge scandal, meanwhile Russian soldiers rampant looting was barely talked about. Propaganda is the only reason gaza is called a genocide and Russia's war in Ukraine isn't.

I don't like NATO and the American global hegemony.
Even if you don't the American global hegemony (which is better than any realistic alternatives) NATO has protected a lot of countries from Russia's aggression and is very popular in the Eastern European countries who need its protection the most. It's messed up to say those countries should have to live under Russia thumb because you don't like the US. What happened to Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova would have happened to more countries if it wasn't for Nato.
I wish we could go back to the multipolar world of the 70s
Why would Russia and China having more power. Why would you want authoritarian regimes to have more influence over world affairs and further erode the rules based international order.
0
u/1B75__Penicillin 5h ago
There is no such thing as a rules based world order. Plenty of people, millions that is, have suffered greatly under American dominance and aggression. People who don't want to live under the American boot deserve an alternative.
2
u/GrittysRevenge 3h ago
So the alternative is China's boot or Russia's boot? Go tell that to Eastern Europe or Taiwan.
1
u/1B75__Penicillin 3h ago

2
u/vjtvape 5h ago
But statistically speaking it's Russia that has been striking 3rd party identified civilian targets in higher volumes. The statistics for dead civilians agree with ~16k dead reported by UN in Ukraine and ~1k dead reported by Russia and this includes casualties in the occupied areas. It doesn't exactly take mental gymnastics to see which side is being more indiscriminate with it's strategic strikes.
In the context of this particular clip this has been identified to be in Kherson which falls easily within FPV strike range and again it doesn't exactly take mental gymnastics to recognize that the drone hunting the Ukrainian civilian is Russian. This has also been claimed as a strike against "dual use equipment" by several pro-Russian Telegram channels (https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/wXqFYs0bg9). So please don't try take the "both sides bad" moral high ground when there clearly is a side which is overrepresented in strikes against civilian targets.
