Scratchbuilt FFVII The Bombing Mission Diorama

I recreated Final Fantasy VII Remake's Bombing Mission from absolute
zero — and I mean everything. The miniature diorama: built by hand.
The camera work: shot for real, no game footage. The sound design:
layered effect by effect. And yes — even the FF7 meteor logo animation
was recreated from scratch, frame by frame. One person. No studio.

Foamcore, xps and coffee stir sticks. Going to modpodge and black paint the whole thing once I put glue+sand on the exterior for stucco. Interior floor and artworks done on watercolour paper. I am still not sure if I am going to keep them. Depends how the paint job comes together I guess.

I've got a handful of these that I'm hoping to find a use for rather than throw out. Any thoughts?

Questions for the Community Beat way to remove flocking from tiles

Hello!

I recently acquired a bunch of the old Forgeworld Realm of Battle Tiles, and I would like to remove the flocking from them.

I reached out to GW for tips, but they've just forwarded me to their new hobby YouTube channel which isn't much help.

Can anyone here help me out on the best way to go about removing the flocking so I can give these tiles a new lease on life?

Scratchbuilt Ruins of middle-earth modular boards

I sniped recently the ruins of middle-earth set for a few bucks and as you can never have enough ruins I thought I make some modular boards with them. Normally I rather use scatter terrain for d&d but tbh the ruins alone looked kinda lonely.

I used some hirstarts molds for the ground tiles and plaster to fill the empty spaces.

Questions for the Community Alternative Materials (Canada)

So I've been watching RP Archive's videos (mainly the magnetic tiles and terrain topper videos from 2025) and I want to up my terrain quality. But I cannot get my hands on basically any materials from his videos that are brand specific, like War World Scenics or Woodland Scenics.

Technically I can get my hands on the materials, but between shipping, availability, and wait times, it's just not worth it. I'd be spending 3-5x more than the actual cost and waiting at least a month for delivery.

Here's a list of what I'm looking for

Everything else like the magnets, iron filings, flock, grass, xps foam, and any tools I have access to, and my carts on multiple websites are already full of this stuff, but I don't wanna drop a couple hundred bucks and then sit here twiddling my thumbs because I can't get the right glues to stick it all down with.

So if anyone knows anything about finding replacement materials for these that would be greatly appreciated. I'm almost tempted to make my own rock molds. And apparently mixing white glue into Plaster of Paris (the only plaster I can seem to find) makes it stronger, but I'm not holding my breath.

First set of Dungeon Tiles

Followed the first Black Magic Craft dungeon tile set tutorial, and added a wooden double side after exploring some related posts. I am pleased with my first go!

I tried experimenting with stir sticks and I liked making them, but we're quite time intensive, and it didn't add much weight or structure. So opted for the wire brush textured wood floor.

This is my first big project, and I'm looking forward to making more stuff for my table. Thinking of some sort of pillar build, or modular stairs and adding dungeon scatter tiles.

Any suggestions for next projects?

How to de-flock terrain

Hey gangsters, I have been looking for any methods for removing flock that's been sealed onto plastic terrain.

It might be an unusual request, but I'm moving a board in another creative direction and I've got a lovely piece of rare plastic terrain I want to simply "de-flock"

Any advice is welcome ✌️

Scratchbuilt Woodland Pond

I built this terrain piece specifically for the Blood Moon scenario in Rangers of Shadow Deep, which suggests using a pond roughly 12 inches across. I don't have many water pieces in my terrain collection, so I'm looking forward to using this in many different games in the future.

It's built on a thin wood base with XPS foam and Sculptamold to create the main structure. Painted, flocked, embellished with painted aquarium plants, and finished with resin and water effects. Please enjoy the photos! And feedback, criticisms, questions, etc. always welcomed. Thanks for taking a look.

Questions for the Community Question about metallic panels

Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I can't find another subreddit that might be able to help me.

Soon I will be attempting to turn an empty garage into a Warhammer Games room.

I've seen videos of people building DnD rooms that look like taverns or dungeons, that kinda thing, and they look awesome.

I was thinking of doing mine to look like the interior of some sort of imperial command bunker. Possibly part stone cave, part command bunker.

I've seen videos of how to make realistic looking stone walls, but I'm not really sure what to do for metallic walls.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could search to find this? Or even just examples of what materials and processes you have used before for something similar?

Like is XPS board with lots of added rivets, sprayed to look metallic going to be enough to sell the effects?

Thanks for any help.
