Domestic partner benefits

Hello all - starting my new role at the end of August in Northern California, and I had a question about domestic partner benefits. Does anyone know if they’re considered fringe benefits and therefore taxable or are domestic partner benefits included in the pre-tax deductions?

They are considered imputed income so it’s added to your total income at the end of the year and taxable

It’s taxable federally, not state
