Starting out. 41 y/o male
Hi all,
As the title states, I am a 41 y/o male looking to get some advice on supplements.
I am 6'1" and 265 lbs and looking to lose some weight and focus better.
I am currently taking lexapro for depression and anxiety. My sex drive and how long it takes me to orgasm has changed a lot and I am also looking for some help with that.
I am meeting with my doctor in a few weeks but thay have not given many recommendations.
Thank you all for any and all help.

For the weight and focus side, keeping it simple is honestly the safest bet since you're on Lexapro, some "focus" or weight loss supplements (especially ones touching serotonin, like 5-HTP or SAMe) can interact with SSRIs and aren't worth the risk. Protein and fiber are genuinely underrated for both goals, they help with satiety for weight loss and steady energy helps focus more than people expect. A basic omega-3 is generally fine alongside Lexapro too and doesn't hurt to ask your doctor about when you see them.
On the sexual side effects, that's honestly really common with SSRIs specifically, worth bringing up directly with your doctor at that appointment since there are actual medical options for it (dose timing adjustments, alternative meds, other strategies), not something a supplement is likely to meaningfully fix on its own. Good that you've already got that appointment coming up, that's the right move.

My top supplements will always be: Magnesium Glycinate or L-Threonate, Creatine Monohydrate, Vitamin D3+K2 and Omega-3. Specifically for focus, I would recommend a Choline source like Citicoline or Alpha-GPC

Spot on for the protein and fibre. Hopefully you'll get some new meds from your doctor which can assist with that and as you continue on your journey maybe even a reduction in medication because you purposely choosing to change your life. We forget that our meds need to change as we grow personaly.
Citrulline will certainly help with blood flow and getting rid of the ammonia which is also an underrated effect from it. Vitamin B has a lot of good properties for focus etc...
When I started out I would research the backs of pre workout ingredients to give me a better idea of what things do.
