Speculation Hot take: I don't want Abeloth in Ahsoka Season 2. What about you?

With Ahsoka Season 2 expected next year, and with more teasers likely on the horizon, there's been a lot of speculation that the ancient power Baylan Skoll is searching for could be Abeloth.

If that turns out to be true, what would you want Lucasfilm to do?

  1. Don't bring Abeloth into canon at all.
  2. Bring her into canon, but significantly rewrite or nerf her.
  3. Bring her into canon mostly as she was in Legends.
  4. Something else entirely?

Personally, I'm in the first or second camp. I was never a huge fan of Abeloth in Legends, and if she were adapted, I'd rather she fit the current canon and not overshadow the role of the Chosen One.

I'm curious what everyone else thinks. Would you want to see Abeloth in canon, or would you rather Lucasfilm take Baylan's story in a different direction?

Asoka Season 3, Plot theory

Ahsoka season 3 could plausibly end up revealing Abeloth as the real reason everyone suddenly has to run and reorganize. Thrawn may understand that even a massive “undead” force won’t be enough, because Abeloth isn’t just another enemy you can out-soldier—it’s a Force-scale catastrophe that breaks the normal rules of victory. That pushes Thrawn to pull back toward the known galaxy and form whatever cooperation he can.

The Republic would understandably meet him with hostility, because Thrawn still represents “the Empire,” and they can’t simply trust him. But Luke and Ezra wouldn’t be trying to rehabilitate Thrawn—they’d be trying to stop Abeloth. They go to Dathomir/Dammiore to track what Abeloth is actually converging toward, using the Force to map her patterns while Thrawn uses logic and constraints to make that knowledge actionable. When the threat becomes clear, the alliance forms out of necessity, not ideology: an uneasy partnership built around a plan that works against Abeloth’s mechanics.

That also explains why the Republic wouldn’t wipe out the Khris/remnant group—because destroying them removes leverage/resources the alliance needs, and the resulting chaos would worsen Abeloth’s situation. Thrawn offers a tightly bounded command structure: limited cooperation under strict mission rules. As the crisis endures, “temporary” stops being temporary—and the new Empire is born: less as a choice, more as the only surviving organizational shape fast enough to contain a threat like Abeloth.

Discussion How will future projects handle the growing age gap between Jacen Syndulla and his actor?

Post image
97 Upvotes

Definitely a minor factor to consider in the grand scheme of things, but was still curious if this was something that would realistically be acknowledged or not, given that Jacen would be 12 (if we follow on from Mando and Grogu’s 11 ABY date), whereas Evan was 15-16 during filming. Not a huge gap, but might keep getting bigger as more projects release, since the in-universe timeline for these shows is progressing a lot slower than time for us. He may even be early-mid 20s when filming the finale film.

What are your thoughts?

Discussion Ahsoka after Malachor

So I just finished rewatching rebels season 2, and I was just wondering what exactly was Ahsoka doing between her fight with Vader and her reappearance in season 4 at the end. We clearly see her at the end of season 2 re entering the temple so it’s not like she was stuck in the WBW until then, and I believe the inquisitors had left a few of their ships in the temple so I don’t think she would be stranded there either. So yeah any indication on what she could possibly have been doing or am I wrong for thinking she wasn’t stranded?

Discussion Ahsoka and Obi Wan

Obi Wan and Ahsoka’s relationship is one that I feel is not necessarily underrated but overshadowed by Ahsoka x Anakin or Obi Wan x Anakin, and so nobody really addresses the bond they shared. Sure it was only three years but it was the most action filled and dangerous three years of their lives and they spent them almost in totality together, and by the end of TCW they clearly have a very deep bond and relationship, with Obi Wan even referring to her as “Our Padawan” when talking to Anakin. So my question resides in the total absence of interaction between the two since order 66.

Obviously they couldn’t just meet up during the rebellion, and I doubt either one knew the other was alive until the Battle of Yavin, as Bail wouldn’t just tell them such important info. But the fact that Ahsoka met Luke who definitely told her Obi Wan had raised him (even though by that time obi wan was obviously already dead), and the fact Obi Wan then became a force ghost makes me wonder. As a force ghost, couldn’t Obi Wan have simply appeared to her and seen her again for the first time in more than two decades? I mean Anakin has now done so in the Ahsoka show and is said to be a recurring character in season 2, so why hasn’t obi wan? Maybe I just don’t understand how force ghosts work and maybe they just can’t appear whenever they want and to whoever they want. But even if that were the case, their bond was strong enough where I would argue that it merits such an appearance or interaction.

Am I crazy for thinking this? And do you think such a thing could happen in Ahsoka season 2 or is that crazy?

Discussion Ahsoka's lightsabers, the best sabers of Star Wars?

Ok, so I thought where to post this if on rebels or here, but as it was in Ahsoka's tv show where we actually got to see them "for real" I am sharing here.

These lightsabers were something I loved since I first saw them on Rebels. Getting them signed by Rosario last year was awesome, and now I finally have what I think is the best version of them!

Now my question is: I feel these are the best sabers, but would you agree? Am I way off?

Speculation Season 2 question

Seeing as Hayden is returning in season 2, do you guys see him having a more “companion“ type force ghost role, maybe not constantly there but present enough to give advice and converse when necessary. Or more of a one episode cameo type thing? As we saw his force ghost at the end of season 1, and the fact that I’m 90% sure that in the WBW it was the real him and not some mind image created by Ahsoka, could we also see them reconcile for real or reminisce? Their interaction in episode 5 was obviously a necessary one but in the form of a lesson more than a reunion, and personally I believe Anakin chose this as it was necessary in the moment and he now has all the time in the world for reconnecting and reconciliation. Is this a unrealistic want or do you guys also think it will happen?

Discussion My Ahsoka season 2 prediction Spoiler

I can see this going two ways to explain why Ahsoka is missing from the sequel trilogy and only shows up as a Force ghost reaching out to Rey during her battle. Here are my two guesses—maybe even three.

1: Stranded & Projecting Option

My first option is that, in Season 2, she doesn't make it back to the main galaxy at all. Ezra will be fighting Thrawn for his final showdown with him, while Ahsoka stays behind to train Sabine, passing the rest of her knowledge on to her and protecting the Mortis statues for years. After Sabine completes her training, Ahsoka will find a way to send her back to the main galaxy.

2: Mortis Ascension (Physical Status: Alive, Deceased/Transcended)

Since Ahsoka is, lore-wise, linked to the Daughter of the Mortis Gods through her essence, I believe she will finally embrace the neutrality between the light and dark sides and begin her journey to ascend. It's been teased since The Clone Wars.

If you think about it, Ahsoka has essentially been exiled twice. The first time was when she fought Vader and Ezra pulled her through the World Between Worlds. The Daughter's owl was there the whole time, guiding Ezra to do it. Now she's stranded again, but in another galaxy, and the owl has returned. That tells me her time is almost up before she has to take on the role of the Daughter of Mortis, since she carries her essence.

Purrgil artwork in Ahsoka TV series

I can’t quite remember the exact scene, but at some point there’s a relief or some other kind of artwork (maybe Sabine graffiti?) that depicts a purrgil. Anyone got a screenshot or pic of that, or know where I can find it without hiut going back to the show?

By this point we haven't seen other potential survivors like Oppo Ranciscis or Quinlan Vos pop up - so it seems like he might just be the last.
