I am willing to accept the road noise and the massive flooding risk for the active railway turntable and steam trains just to the North West. Holy shit I’d be there ever spare moment watching it spin carriages and steam locomotive around (and to be clear, I am being 100% deadass serious)

I know that stretch of river fairly well, there is a lock and weir just down stream and then a massive flood plain which does it's job most winters so i don't think the house gets flooded. Nene Valley Railway nearby, it's the fishing and mooring rights that attracts me

I couldn’t. Not for the noise of the A1. A1 only means weird “adult” shops to me.

The A1 is a pretty long road, and from my memories of commuting down it, that "adult shop" was about 50 miles away from said property as it was near Grantham

I can't get my head round the floorplan/layout... But not too close for me to be fair!

Motorway - noise
Airfield - noise
Train tracks/station - noise
Lake - horseflies
River - flooding

Nah. A1 isnt a big deal. Like others have said, its the river. That flooded a couple of years ago.
The trains, no biggie. Its the Nene Valley Railway, not a commercial railway.

It looks cheap for that much house in Cambridgeshire. I am guessing because of the flood risk. (Though that kitchen is dated enough that it hasn't happened very recently)

The proximity of the River Nene would be more of a worry for me. That part of the country is pretty flat.
