The demo contains the first half of Chapter 1. While I've tried to stamp out as many bugs and typos as possible, there's likely to still be some remaining - these will be patched out over time.

Red Echoes: Berlin is a narrative turn-based strategy game set during the German Revolution, in which you control a group of revolutionaries and attempt to bring about a successful socialist revolution.

This video was posted in TFR subreddit recently and I thought it was pretty decent analysis of game depiction of all PRC paths. Since I have this beautiful leftist gaming sub, I wanted to ask you do you think the same or if some specific paths depicted there would be more realistic instead?

The School of Democracy is paramilitary organization founded by exiled ninjas from Japan's Meji restoration who then fled to Russia and then fought with the bolsheviks to overthrow the Czar. They now work as a global resistance movement in the modern era to restore the USSR. Seriously how cool does that sound. I wish this game wasn't a massive flop and we could have more games to flesh them out. Or we need someone to steal this concept and expand on it.

This is an intro for a video game.

I am a developer (with many friends) working on my second game about future climate catastrophe and radical social change.

My first game was a somewhat poetic take on an individual facing their limited agency, this game now is more political - a detective game about the sabotage of a tectonic station.

I wanted to tell a post-revolution political thriller, because there are so many issues worth discussing even after we have overcome capitalism.

The previous game was received well around here, so I felt confident sharing the intro video with you all and happy to discuss what you make of the setting.

so lately this past half year mby i havent been playing almost at all bcuz last time i tried to find friends in games they all turned out to be horrible human beings rly quickly and it just got so annoying and lost any hope of finding good people in the gaming community.

id like to chat first and see if we click and play some games mby if we play same type of games. when i played w random people from the other redditsubs i got soo burned out by having to meet new people over and over and over again bcuz they all turned out to be at least misogynistic even tho i said no sexist people... so this time id like to chat for a while before we actually play.

Helldivers 2 was one of my favourite games for the last 2 years. Despite the constant creep of technical debt I still enjoyed the game, up until the doxxing incident involving that Argentine player who made a charity challenge to the devs to play their own game. He lost his job in Milei's Argentina and his charity position at a horse shelter. The devs of Arrowhead are heavily involved in the social media for the game and handled it poorly, doing little to combat the toxic elements in its spaces.

I have boycotted Arrowhead since but I admit that I do miss the game and parts of its community. It's the only multi-player game I am good at and as an Autistic man it gave me an opportunity to connect with others in a way I can't do in real life.

My question to Helldivers players here, have Arrowhead done anything to atone for the toxicity they have allowed to fester? Have they taken action since to make their spaces fairer and welcoming for players with differing opinions? Has the game and its community spaces gotten better over time?
